Knife Fighting Honor Deteriorating

I've noticed in the past months that when I withdraw my blade near an enemy, they return the favor with 5 shots to the torso and 3 to the head. Personally, if I saw someone run at me with a knife, my first reaction would be to shoot them. But even when i am not in those "heat of the moment" situations when trying to knife someone i still get shot when someone has the ability to enter the fight with a knife or shoot me, they chose the latter. I still notice that even on the more civilized servers, that knife fights have really been lacking in etiquette. If its just me who always gets shot instead of the other person bringing out their knife, tell me now. But from here on out, I will make sure to always abide by the social rules of "Blade engagement". Anyone else up to this?

Um, yeah, I don't think that's going to fly too well here.

Haha, wait, what?

We don't play knife-fights and all that silly stuff at TG, join on the server and squad up with some people and you'll see why.

Yh Hellface, part of TG is realism, and realistically, if you were in a fight to the death and you had a gun and someone pulled a knife on you, you would probably just shoot them in the face as opposed to worrying about "blade etiquette". I used to do what you do - "draw a knife when someone draws one on me" - before I joined TG, but very few TGers will bring a knife to a gunfight if they can avoid it.

With no disrespect intended I give you:

In all the hours I've played here at TG I've always found that solid teamwork and effective tactics were prized highly while running rambo with a knife was strongly discouraged.

My experience has been better for it!

I suspect yours will be too.

Re: Knife Fighting Honor Deteriorating

If i see my team-mate and an enemy in a knife fight... i shoot both! Cause stupid actions need to be punished and i have absolutely no harm to do that. Why would you bring a knife to a gun fight? Why would i engage a combat-situation where i am not sure that i am winning ? Why not go for the kill? The other person is going to waste a ticket for sure.. why just don´t take this present and say " Thank you for that ticket! I hope it´s going to be a 1:0 win in the end "
All in one your knife is a use to kill lurking snipers.. but that's it i guess.

Knife people who are not looking or if you think you have the jump on them. Shoot everyone else!

Re: Knife Fighting Honor Deteriorating

The only time I ever knife is:
A) sniper, as Fl1pmode said
B) I am out of ammo for my AR and pistol, my defib is overheated, and there are multiple enemies in extremely close range.
If you have to draw your knife it means you made a mistake IMO.
