Where people are excited...I didn't feel like there was a pressure to perform. I had already performed...being real tight, working together closely, all motivated, excited... it's a wonderful feeling...I just remember knowing what feeling I wanted: that "TIGHT" feeling, and I chased that...that was a lovely feeling. I fell in love with that feeling and it kept me going for quite a bit.
Whewweee!!! Now that's an inspirational post, got me all hot and bothered!!! Definitely going to have to try SLing more often!!!

I shy from SLing because I seem to have a voice that implies suggestions even when giving direct orders. In my memory I can only remember 2 squads I have led that actually did as they were told, when they were told. The rest of the time I feel like a backseat driver... hoping that the guys holding the guns will sort of move in the general direction that I'd like them to but without any direct control. And when I kick people from the squad for not following orders the rest of the squad quickly leaves as well.

    Lose-lose situation.

lol, kinda odd. People think LordKelvin gives suggestions, not orders!

Your squad leading last night was good - I had fun and we were doing pretty well! Keep it up.

When I SL I'm even more indecisive and eccentric than usual, but somehow we manage to do quite well. I've even lead a squad while under the influence a number of times and managed somehow, for it to be the best squad on the team (Points-wise anyway). As it's been said, as long as the SL is in the right places at the right times and his squad is with him, they can still be effective no matter who they are. Communication can be quite important as it improves situational awareness but even with mutes good squadplay can be achieved as long as they're obedient.

A good commander can recruit good SL on TeamSpeak!
It will give the people confidence in their team to rise up to the challenge!
I don't know if this has been mentioned fully...
I think SLs that are good should start moving on up and let a new generation of people take on the role!
SLs should start moving up higher and become commanders....
I've seen many teams run without a commander and still win but that's not to say that an empty commander seat doesn't affect the game....
if they had only given the commander a few more perks...
