Still alive?

Hi guys,

Been a huge Battlefield 2 fan a couple of years back (Pommetje as some of the IRR's might remember), went over to play Eve online for a few years but these days I kinda miss the old BF2 feeling.
So I thought to myself why not try out BF2142......

Looked up TG and saw theres still a lot of posting going on, so it seems BF is still up and running.

Is this the right assumption? Is the TG server still going strong? Are there enough pub-servers still running (and busy) to fork out 50 euro's (Mac-version) to get the game?

well the 2142 server is still going strong. I think it is full most nights. BF2, not so much, mostly PR now.

yeah the TG bf2142 servers are running good mostly at night during the day it gets a little slow sometimes. and yes again there are LOTS of pub-servers up also.

Heck ya! 2142 is still rolling along here at TG. You really won;t need pub servers either. The TG server is all you will need. It is full populated everyday!

And theres no need to.....I know the top quality of the TG server....once you go TG, you'll never go back (rimes like **** but still true. :-) )

True!

Besides, I know I can't go for a more than a few minutes on most pub servers without getting angry and leaving.

I'm in CD. I have to be able to make a great sounding sentence. Usually with an ' and not a ";" in my contractions.

I am actually kind of jealous of the thought of starting 2142 from the beginning with TG. My first year of 2142 was fun because a few IRL friends were still playing, but it feels like a different game comparing my TG era to that one.

I'll hope to get the game this thursday so expect me on around the evening hour (euro-time)......me being the noob looking around having no idea what to do and where to do it and getting shot in all new kinds of ways.

Ok, so you joined after me, but just by a few days...

Don't worry, we were all that way. We even have some people who normally play other games suddenly giving it a go. As long as you squad up with us and be a good team player, you will go through the ranks quickly...

P.S. If you play with me, sometimes my mic does not always come across clearly in game. Also, I am a huge fan of explosives, so watch out for my blowage area...

A word of friendly advice -- I'm sure you know this, but TG BF2142 is a tad more ... difficult than a normal pubbie server. Without tooting our own horn too much, you may find it a bit frustrating unless you're working in a TG squad.
Just a heads up ... I remember when I first joined, I was stuck in pubbie squads, and it was awful.

Simple remedy -- get on TeamSpeak, and just ask for an invite at round start. People are friendly and easy going (unless it's that Eroak guy, he just makes 1-man locked squads all the time) and you'll have a much better time.
