A few months ago "pants" and "no pants" were the subjects of choice on teamspeak.
I had been reading Yeats, particularly his "Lake Isle of Innisfree."
You really ought to read that original poem or else mine won't make much sense.
The content struck me as too good of an opportunnity not to parody. The form I have not followed.
I cannot further explain how I came up with the following, but here it is:
I will arise and go now, for always night and day, I am generally such a bore,
From this image I must get away!
I can hear it in my deep closet's core.
The Request
Many of you know that I'm not just into 2142 poetry , for I enjoy all sorts of classics. I entered a poetic tweet for the "Little Tweet Nothings"/ BrightStar Contest. The Bright Star movie is a film based on the life and love of John Keats (he wrote the poem "Bright Star").
My entry has been selected as a finalist. All finalists are open for public voting right now. So, if you've enjoyed any of my otherpoems, please check out http://www.brightstar-movie.com/contest and register to vote for the best one!
A Personal Note
I just had oral surgery yesterday to remove my five pesky wisdom teeth. I'm glad to finally have it done though, and should be able to get off the pain meds soon, hopefully. I can talk, but not much yet (I'm pretty sore). I'll likely be back to 2142 later this week.
Thanks for reading!

Very nice, Sunshine. I hope you feel better from your surgery. 5 wisdom teeth, wow. I lucked out when I had my four wisdom teeth out and didn't get any serious pain. The bottom two were growing in at 45 degree angle. Just one more thing. What is defined by the term, "Pseudo-females".. Best wishes on your poetry comp and I will definitely vote.

His capacity for love lost, the man accepts it into his glas of dispair. The Flames of burning anger unquenched, the man keeps drinking... but never gets drunk
Your a poet and you know it,
At times you never really show it,
Deep down from inside you grow it,
It knocks on your door, so you open it,
Let it loose and enjoy it!
I call it the ode to "It"
Ohh man,
I just cant stop Rhymeman!
And for the record I wanna be the only man in an ALL lady squad, I fight like a girl, with well polished nails and immaculate hair and a touch of craziiieee, so I should fit in well.

When i stumbled through a Vally of darkness and sorrow
A bright faithful hero appeared and i had to follow
He brought back the awesomeness in my gaming-time
And said to me " Mirror... Teamwork is not a crime! "
So i joined his squads and learned so much
From now on i had the awesome-touch!
Posted in the " I was Silver´d " Group but should fit in here as well

Nice Mirror, I imagine it takes real talent to make poetry in a second language!
And thanks, Latina, though I'll only need luck if they send the pendant via uninsured mail. (Winner)
I don't have pain anymore from the wisdom teeth, but apparently I've got TMJ dysfunction. rrgh. The oral surgeon thought I'd have more pain after the surgery and lo & behold he was correct. If anyone has the holy grail for fixing that... I could use it.

It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
