was that a ranked server? if so, and assuming I remember correctly, that's actually against the EA server policy and they are required to either remove that rule or make it unranked.

had to put up with a graphical glitch, where black patches show up on the terrain?

To fix this all you have to do is turn down the "Terrain" to low in the video settings, this works for me, medium or high does not fix it, only if you set it to low.

After more research it appears that if you use an ATI card and have catalyst AI disabled then the patches will show up, sure enough I had mine turned off, so I enabled it to advanced and turned the terrain up to high and joined a server, no black patches showed up!

That's odd. I have a 5770 and have the Cat AI disabled. ever seen any black patches in BF2, all GFX are high.

I am gonna give 2142 a try for a while and take on the LAG as a challenge, I know I said I would stop playing and so on, blah, blah, but I was drunk.....I used to play with worse lag due to crappy internet and pc, tonight I am just going to try and change my style of play when the lag hits and see what happens, wish me some love!

But I am always up for some BF2, so if any of you Ladies fancy some pub raiding or TG server fun tonight, hit me up in TS!
