GG to Dead Friends for playing some close games. The games were held on the Dead Friends practice server which I believe is in the UK. Tickets were set at 150. Some very close games with the match results coming out to be 2-2 but TG held the overall ticket lead.
First map 16p Tunis
Set 1 - Game 1 - TG as PAC
DEFR wins by 24 tickets
Set 1 - Game 2 - TG as EU
TG caps out DEFR with 113 tickets left
Second map 16p Berlin
Set 2 - Game 1 - TG as PAC
TG wins by 6 tickets
Set 2 - Game 2 - TG as EU
DEFR wins by 54
Overall ticket count stands at 119 for TG and 78 for DEFR
GG's, having not touched 2142 for about a month before this I played pretty crappy but the rounds were fun. The first round was interesting getting so close back after having myself drop at the start and someone else drop halfway through.
Good games all had a lot of fun. We should have more of these against someone. Thanx all for showing up. We really needed our reserves so thank you joining even if you werent sure to play.

Not only we had not any real training but also some TG people that were in this scrim are not even playing BF2142 regularly. Taking this into account we did well
Great SL Reaper and PM, especially that second round of Tunis with the capout.
That was indeed a great round where we were even on tickets till the end.
And this is how we caped them out.
We had captured both docks and living quarters. DEFR had bridge.
I made a run to the south around the building. At the end of the fences i saw DEFR run towards living. At this point Che. Guevera turned towards me, but luckily didn't see me.
I ran towards bridge and hoped they didn't respawn there. Squad PM kept them of the flag while i managed to get bridge. When i came back DEFR was stil reviving on the flag, but by then it was to late for them.

Took a gamble and got a refurbished 30 GB OCZ Vertex 1 off of NewEgg for the low, low price of $30. Had some trouble getting the drive to be recognized by Windows or by my BIOS. Had to use a jumper...
It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
