The torrent is oscillating between 100 KB/s and 400 KB/s. Given it's only been a few hours, there are only a handful of people with the full download. By the time US gets off work it should be faster. I, for one, will be seeding all week.

Well,

I bought the game from EA today, downloaded and installed it. It said there was a newer version. I downloaded the 1.51 patch and it says my version is newer.

I start 2142 and I see no servers.

I noted, after purchase, that it is for XP -- I have Win 7 -- is this an issue?

Help!

Works on win 7 fine. Just run as administrator. If easownload gives you 1.51 then you should be good. I'm downloading separate but can't check my ea download manager. Also remove the filters
From server search. You should find something ..

Oh and look for the regedit fix so you can update.. It's on here somewhere..

Win 7 shouldn't be an issue. Did you install patch 1.5 before 1.51? 1.51 is incremental.

You have to install v1.50 before. If you have Deluxe Edition search for 1.50 incremental update, if not search for 1.50 full update.

Regedit is necessary only if somebody already installed 1.51 (beta, etc.) and wants to install 1.51 again. I believe installer didn't let E-Male install v1.51 before v1.50...

I deleted the whole folder from regedit and installed 1.50 and couldn't install 1.51 without deleting key again, but that was the beta version. Not sure about new 1 but it's posted all over ea forums so you'd think they'd have sorted that check out.

Ahh that came out wrong I meant 100kb/s, mb/s would take no time at all, my normal DL speed is like 1.2mb/s (Fileplanet, etc) so this feels slow as all get out.
