you guys do realize that February 26 is going to be really really bad because we dont even have a second CO?
no prior planning = normal day on TG.. which makes the scrim kinda pointless in the first place.

I'm definitely NOT putting it on February 26th, no matter how high the meter goes.

Tell you guys what:
I'll see what I can do about making a "Pickem scrimmage" for 1pm EST February 26th.
Basically, I'll ask the admins to password the server for two rounds.
Show up on teamspeak. Two team captains pick people one by one (supporting members have priority, but since it's super early, I don't think it'll really matter). Play for two rounds.

February 26th people will be happy because they get a "scrim".
March people will be happy because they get a scrim.
Everyone will be happy because the TG server will be active much earlier on Saturday
This assumes the admins accept my proposal (which I see no reason why they shouldn't)

I prefer the 26th scrim date simply because I will be on vacation and can play

As for a missing CO... 9 days is not enough to find one?

I am going on vacation tomorrow and only come back on February 27, hence any day after the 26th is fine by me

I think the big issue with the 26th date is that there isn't really enough time to set up a more in depth and planned out scrim. Fruvous and I were planning something that was a bit more old school when a 64 player TG vs TG scrim would fill up in 4 hours and we would make plans in the tactical conflict forums and then have an epic day of killing each other with are awesome plans. We know that it wont happen like that but that was the idea. I think Fruvous' idea to have a pick'em on the 26th (since there seems to be a fair amount of interest in that date) would be a great compromise. Have something a little more fun and easy (especially while everyone is still finding their running shoes in 2142) and then have a deeper even on the 12th.

why not make 2 scrims?i know how hard and time consuming setting up one can be, but if you make 26th's one as a pre-scrim where you find out cool tactics to use later plus maybe run more maps cause people are itching to play 2142 1.51 new maps and ns, and tbh i dont think everyone has experience playing NS maps neither you can really find nice tactics till 26th when still TG doesnt have an updated server (playing against pubbies in other servers doesnt really mean that you can do what you did against a teamplay oriented squad/squads).so there you have it :P

p.s. wont be gaming till 28th-1st
