    That was fun...

We had a few good rounds last night with some old friends. As Zhohar commented it was refreshing to have in-game VoIP to organize the team play. Although there was definitely something odd/wrong about playing Strike at Karkand (a Battlefield 2 map) on BF2142.

I haven't played the game in well over a year but it was lot of fun.

Hopefully we'll soon be able to start using our own TG servers.

    Cheers!

    Re: That was fun...

Looks like quite a few of the old guard are back, judging by the TeamSpeak channel this past weekend. Yet another motivation to get out from under the thumb of my Radeon 5870 and back to a GPU that will run the Battlefield games for more than fifteen minutes at a go. I did get to play a bit, though, and had a lot of fun!

Hope to see you on the field soon.

It locks up with the sound looping and I have to hard-kill my machine. I've read up on it a bit, and it seems to be a fairly common occurrence with the 58x line, especially with BC2, though it's happening to me in 2142 as well. Temps are fine; I'm not exceeding ~55 C while running the game. I think it's just driver issues, and I'm just tired of trying to troubleshoot them. Building a new PC for my dad soon, anyway, so I'll pawn it off on him and go back to nVidia. (He won't be running anything it'd have problems with.)

    Tonight was awesome too...

    Q. How many people does it take to kill REAP?
Ans. None. (everyone will just turn around and leave)... ha ha ha.

That was the funniest thing I witnessed in 2142 since I started playing. (i don't know why others turned around, but I did because I saw that damn otus coming towards me.. )

    Re: That was fun...

So EA's download manager won't allow me to install 2142. I deleted the game and any reference to it in my registry. On win7 64bit, and I've started the setup.exe as an admin, as well as tried doing the same with the download manager.

Anyone have any advice or a link to an iso? I've got my keys, just need a way to install the game!

Why won't it allow you to install? What happens? I hate download manager so much, but my disc won't install, so is my only option.

I had the installs just quit without even opening up, and had to remove download manager and remove all reg keys for that too and reinstall before the game would download again and install! Backup your download folder if you have it saved, as it saves that time downloading. By default, it doesn't save downloads and puts it in a temp directory.

Basically exactly what I tried doing. Past searches for isos were unsuccessful, but I think I may be in luck right now.
