\Annoying\ Teamspeak\ Phonetic\ Nicknames\
I don't mind funny names etc if that's your thing, but while we are scrimming and trying to organise it is very annoying for all in the channel.
Please lets shorten the phonetic names down and remove the backslashes and stuff and have some short nicknames please.
"Backslash END backslash RANT backslash"
Note to all, we don't need "Vertical line" in the phonetic name..!!BF3 Soldier: DrSparky

Re: \Annoying\ Teamspeak\ Phonetic\ Nicknames\
I haven't set up my phonetic nickname till I have read this post and probably most people don't have it set up at all. Isn't it like that you enable Text To Speech in TS notification it will read the whole nickname (including tags) if the person haven't set up phonetic nickname at all?

Re: \Annoying\ Teamspeak\ Phonetic\ Nicknames\
Yes, your phonetic name will be whatever you choose as your name as default. So if you have the pipes in your name it will be in the phonetic unless you remove them, whether you choose to hear phonetics or not.
Disclaimer: I usually only mess around with phonetics when I've been drinking, so I may not be 100% correct."Nothing we're going to do...is going to fundamentally alter or eliminate the possibility of another mass shooting, or guarantee that we will bring...uh...um, gun deaths down to a thousand a year from...uh, from what it is now." - Vice President Joe Biden

Re: \Annoying\ Teamspeak\ Phonetic\ Nicknames\
To set a Phonetic name go to the 'Self' menu in TS3 and there you will find it. Useful for knowing who enters the channel if you turn on 'Text to Speech' in 'Notifications' section of the 'Options' found in the 'Settings' menu...

Annoying when we have looooong phonetic names.
(Have I opened up the chance for more annoying names? Damn..)
There are some good fun names, so I'm not discouraging that. I like it when "The crazy swede" or "wonder woman" enters the channel.BF3 Soldier: DrSparky

Re: \Annoying\ Teamspeak\ Phonetic\ Nicknames\
Just so people also know, you can still find the orginal name of the TS3 login account name. If you highlight the person's name in question, the detail plane on the right will give stats about that person. The first line is 'Nickname'. The name in black is the temporary name, the [blue] name is the real account name.

I played with this a while back, but for the life of me couldn't get "Feeyah" to work. May need to give it another shot.
