a nope. And it goes both ways. the arcady gamers dont play GR or SWAT cause when you die you wait until the round is over, and heaven forbid you actually have to use tactics.

Back to the thread, I really think EA/Dice hit the jackpot on this BF2 engine. Its really very powerfull in the modding sence, and the gaming sence. I think EA is gonna try and milk it dry with alot of games coming out of the FPS nature. It has a few, what we would call problems, features that EA/Dice seem to enjoy. But again this game looks like a complete mod to BF2

How I see it, EA didn't hit the jackpot with the engine itself- at least not the physics/graphics part (not too dissimilar from CS:S). I think they've hit it with the in-game command structure, i.e. squads and a CO with assets. I can think of a ton of games that I would have liked a CO and squads as opposed to a giant glob of players broken into handfuls here and there on Teamspeak trying to accomplish an objective.

Global Operations had a CO position, but all he could do was place waypoints (which never worked) and watch people's shoulder cams. MechWarrior would have absolutely rocked if there was a Mech Commander position to direct the flow of battle.

Natural Selection and Savage had commanders that were very involved with the game, moreso than in BF2. It's more complex than just one thing.

Also, Trooper, I don't think the BF2 engine is any more of a jackpot than the original engine they used for BF1942. Remember they did the same thing with BF:V.

Well la-dee da. I'll remember to tell Coridon and Duke to stop fooling around with all that bounding overwatch and fireteam crap and just run straight at the flag guns blazing.

That's definitely game footage, although not in-game footage. Similar to the opening sequences in BF2 and SF. You can tell by some of the clipping in the vehicles and the ricochet effects. Pre-recorded, played on a high-resolution very fast machine and edited for effect. Of course, your copy will never look that good.

I dint mean anything by it, I was just stateing that BF2 does not compare to SWAT AA GR OPF in tatics, ask any of the players who have played both. Then again you cant compare the two because they are totally different games, arcade vs Simualtion.


Bf2 is a better engine graphic wise, BF1942 and BFV dwarf in comparison to the graphics in BF2. Yeah every game has its problems but you learn to play with it.
