    Very nice preview

4 page preview....very good stuff in there. They let you in on some new stuff. The one thing i like is that there is a min number of people required before the SL gets his sentry gun. The network battlefield is so sweet too...man, reading that just got me even more excited!

The more I read it, the more I pity the fate of pubbie servers. They stated correctly that lone wolf's don't stand a chance in winning, but the level of teamwork that comes out of it could be not-so-stelar. The new thing about more points for being in a squad also doesn't help, it just forces fragmonkeys into a squad so they can get more points.

MN: There is a great mechanic of timing and decision making built into Titan mode. When do you decide to attack the Titan? Remember the missile silos on the ground? If you leave them, they could be taken over by your opponents and a few more missiles toward your own Titan could turn the game around. So, team play is essential. An active commander, well-balanced squads, and great communication will raise your odds. Taking out the Titan is not a one-man job. Lone wolves will not stand a chance, and a diversified squad that is equipped properly will do a better job.

I don't know if anyone has asked the question, yet. Anyone know if they are going to be able to integrate both conquest and titan modes together on a server? Basically like one round is titan mode, the next will be conquest? I sure hope so, thats the way I want to play, certainly would be a nice change of pace each round and should never get dull.

IMO, the "Sentry Gun" is a stupid idea, people will try to form smaller squads with minimum player so more people on their side will have the "Sentry Gun".

IMO, the spawn beacon is more practical, especially for teamplay, so i forsee that being used more than the sentry drone. At least on our server. Remember you can only take one or the other...not both. Also, once you see the drone you know exactly who the squadleader is. IMO, in tactical environments such as TG, the beacon is far more useful.

However i know most pubbies will only use the sentry drone. I really dont care either way i just wanna play the damn game!

Looks like active camo is something you've got to unlock. Sure would be fun to turn it on and sneak up and knife people. I hope they have some infantry maps..karkand like, so sniping won't be so limited.

they said that its easier to unlock stuff in 2142 than it is in BF2, prolly cuz theres so many more things to unlock. I cant wait to use cam, sneak up on a walker, slap some C4 on its legs and blow it up before he even knew i was there.

Youll probably see more sentry guns used on defense and the spawn beacons used when you're attacking.

While the main game itself does look promising, my second reason to acquire Battlefield 2142 would be the fact that I know the guys over at Battlefield 40,000 will be moving to BF 2142 when they complete the BF2 conversion.

Here is how you may call me:
Ty (Tie), or Tychus. (Tie-cuss)'. Full pronounciation: Tie-can-dur-us
