I posted this after E3. Yeah, it was killer. I was in the EA booth playing 2142 alot. It really felt like BF2, but in the future! Most of the stuff I wrote about is old news by now and the game has gone thru some tweaks, but I played what I would think would be 85-90% of the final game. Get ready to invest many hours of your life into this game!

Sadly, it looks like it's that was the last E3 that I will attend, or anybody for that matter, as the format of the show is changing. Damn, I will miss that show, I always took three days off from work in May to attend. The whole show was a circus, totally over the top. I can see why they made the change from a business standpoint, but man I had a great time.

I pre-ordered bf2 with the same anticipation I'm feeling for this game... so no, I won't be pre-ordering this one.

Ill play more, but I want to see how it is when its out before I buy it. If EA totally gimps us with ranks (getting shock paddles requires an unlock) forcing TG to go ranked... I doubt I will. No amount of admins will keep the pubbies out to ruin my day over and over again :P

It takes about a round or two to get an unlock and you can get the defibs right away, so its really not a big deal. And Tempes said that we might have to go ranked...it all depends on how they handle it. I have no doubt the admins and powers that be will do whats best for the community.

I have heard and read so much about how bad the game is. Maybe because it is in beta. I will wait until after the first 3 or 4 patches before I make my decision to buy.

I will not preorder. I will run around to five different electronics strores on release day, looking in vain for one with BF2142 in stock.
