Bubba, one cannot trust word of mouth all the time. When the demo comes out, at least try it before you push it to the way side.

I think word of mouth carries more weight when you know who owns the mouth. Normally I would agree with this when it comes to reviews on foreign sites, but when the people I play with and know give me their impressions; it carries a lot more weight than John Q. Reviewgeek.

I'm downloading the beta now, but it's looking more and more like Quake Wars is going to be TG's next new game and NOT 2142. Has anyone offered a glowing review of this here?

I like it, so does undead and im sure there are others. If its not your cup of tea its not your cup of tea. Its got a sci fi feel to it that doesnt attract everyone.

Undead, im d/ling the new client. Do i just install it and itll overwrite the existing client?

Well I went ahead and preordered --- $50!!! Huff. Thank god I still had that in my Paypal account from selling the old camera. I hope everyone comes and plays this now.

Best Buy's preorder offers an unique weapon, instead of instant promotion in Gamestop's offer (which supposedly stacks with your veteran's star so you get 2 unlocks upon promotion).

If the unique weapon is, well, unique, then it might be more interesting than getting a headstart.
