anyone else having this problem?
I just got the beta, downloaded and installed W/O problem...
Took a number of tries to get a user name, kept saying all my favorites we're already in use, but then when I sign in with them, says no account by that name... oh well, not the problem, just wasted about 20 mins of my life thou, lol...
So I start it up, and I go into multiplayer, I see the servers... click on the only one open (not full), after 15 more minutes of waiting for the map to load (rediculous)... it finally loads, I click join... it says "you can't used modified files, please revert back to the unmodded game"... HELL, I just downloaded it, there ain't no mods yet, lol... I tried 3 times, same thing... a waste of over an hour now.
Anyone else run into that problem?Magnum

Yeah, I connected to the official EA tuning beta servers rather than those wolf servers and I connected fine.
The long connect delay was only there the first time I played a map, then it was fine after that. Much like the rendering tweaks done when you play BF2 the first time (or the first time after changing video settings).

I don't think they put the "optimizing shaders" dialog in yet. Same thing happened to me.

Wolf servers are causing these problems for almost everyone. Just join a regular US tuning beta server.

yea wolf servers are causing problems dont join them. As for taking forever, yea that happens the first time you load up after that its pretty quick.

For some reason those and the new MyIS Servers are doing it. I have no clue why either. I submitted a support ticket to MyIS to see if they know.
