Awesome, got my key, can't download until late tonight though.

Since it's now an open beta what are the chances of someone providing the client to an admin and having it posted in the Members Download area?

Download from TG would be great. Fileplanet is giving me a headache with its download queue jumping from wait time of 1 minute to 68 minutes...

ummm I am getting the "The Battlefield 2142 Beta is now closed" message now. Does not seem very open to me

There were 12000 keys given away today, guess they all went pretty fast.

I got mine straight away and played a round a few minutes ago. I have no idea what I am doing, but somehow I ended up with 20ish points and came 3rd on my team. Crazy.

I seemed to spend a lot of time running between "missile silos", which was kinda boring. Apparently people don't respond to "Hey, I need a ride!".

Something that surprised me was the level of teamwork. There was no communication in my squad, but we were all in the same place and following orders, so I gained a few bonus points for following orders which was nice.

Hopefully none of what I just said was against the NDA... Better read that.

I had got the menu that said it was open, and filled out all the computer information and past games played like it asked. But guess all spots were given away while I was filling it out

Damn I'm glad I registered this morning. I got a key but need to download the Beta tonight.

Crap should I play 2142 or Tac-Mod tonight? What a dilema...

beta is ending mid sept so no biggie if you cant get in. I do know that they are giving away another 10,000 keys soon though.

Side note - The new client addressed a few things and overall it seems much tighter and a better looking game all around. I especially like the "uplink" when you capture a silo.

do we need a key to play it cause i dont got one? and could we get this in the members download section if a key is not needed
