Special Weapon with BestBuy preorder - Page 4

I've picked it up in a kit before. It's huge and takes up the entire right side of the screen. Haha, suckers!

Yeah I've done the same thing before. When I first picked it up off a kit I was like "WTF IS THIS?" Then I remembered that picture of the Best Buy gun and I realized what it was. Man, what a horrible skin for a weapon. WAY too big! It's like the BFG from Doom except it has the same attack power of the stock gun.

I have it. It's about between the Baur and the standard Scar 11. And yes it is quite large, reminds me of carrying a OICW into battle (not to mention neither weapon has any rescemblence to the actual SCAR).

I'm still awaiting a second pre-order code from BB so my brother can unlock it.

Already 4 weeks and counting...

I actually like the gun a lot. It reminds me of playing FEAR. It gives the game a very nice feel.

hmm... you know I got it pre-ordered from BestBuy and went and unlocked it, but for some reason it doesn't show up for me. I still have the Baur and SCAR11... eh... but the question is... is it worth it?

No, not really. It seriously takes up most of the right side of the screen giving you a horrible blind spot.

I have the unlock, and while no there is no difference in performance from the regular SCAR 11 that I can tell, it does look pretty cool. Especially the scope popping up when you pull the gun out, and when you switch to the under-barrel shotgun or rifle rocket, the scope drops into the weapon, leaving a sort of 'optic sight', I guess. I can try for screenshots of both regular and shotgun mode, if no one else has any. And speaking of blind spots, how bad is it anyway? The AT launchers have large blind spots. I know, "But when you're assaulting you need to be able to see!" Well, since this is TACTICAL gaming, and you are working in squads, one of your mates should be covering your blind spots, just like in dogfights, where you watch your wingman's six and he watches yours. Same thing, but on the ground. You with me?

Personally, I really feel like there's no difference between this gun or the SCAR 11. All it is is a aesthetic thing. And unlike the other weapons in the game, this "unlock" is only available when you're on the EU side. It really makes no changes to gameplay, not like in BF2 where it was the burst-fire M16 vs the full-auto AK-101/Type 54.

All I'm waiting for now is for Bommando to come by and close this thread. Then my job will be complete.

I tried out your gun after I killed you last night

Of course one of your squad mates killed me seconds later.

Seems like we ran into each other a lot last night.

Yep. You'd kill me, I'd respawn just waiting to kill you, and then BAM! "You were killed by LuckyStrike". Talk about frustrating. Oh well. But the gun looks cool. And that is all it is supposed to do. Besides shoot people.
