Question for people in beta - low-spec machines
Howdy, I'm trying to decide whether to preorder or wait til I've upgraded my machine. Current specs are 2.4GHz, 128Mb 9800pro, 512Mb RAM. It runs BF2 pretty well with lowish detail - do you imagine 2142 to run well enough to be worth trying it?

Re: Question for people in beta - low-spec machines
Well it only takes a little bit more power to run than bf2. Sooooo I would say if you ran bf2 you can run bf2142 ok. Unless you were running bf2 at alll low settings and 800 x 640.
I would buy the game first...see how low you have to set everything. I would think you could make it playable...so you'll at least have a game to play. Then upgrade when you get the chance.

Your machine beats mine in every aspect except RAM (I have a gig). I ran the beta fine except for lag, but that was just the server's problem, not my computer. It looked pretty nice too. If you're worried though, just wait for the demo like everyone says.
