We will be hosting a 2142 server. In fact, the way things look right now, we will be hosting both a ranked and an un-ranked 2142 server. Details can't be worked out until after the 2142 server is released and we get to take a look at how the unlocks are managed.

We need a TG server! Besides BF 2142 being a game that fits into our play style, is fun and is a nice addition to the Battlefield series, it may bring more players to TG. I'm sure there are many players out there who never played BF and this may be the game for them. Having those new players on a TG server will help us add new members.

Cool, ranked and unranked. Do you know if we will be able to use our unlocks on the unranked server?

Unlocks earned on the ranked server will most likely be useable on the unranked server.

The ranked server will still have a TG admin presence, but for the true TG experience you'll most likely want to be on the unranked server. But at the very least we'll have the ability to enforce a better game environment while people earn some critical unlocks.
But as I said, all of these details may change when the game comes out. It's going to depend on what cards EA deals us.

That's great news! I was waiting to get BF2142 until we found out for sure how it would be supported here. I think I'll go shopping this weekend

W00t!! Apo is the man. Thats prolly the best news ive heard all day. Ranked for people that want to get some unlocks, unranked for better gameplay. Im ALL for it! The only really "critical" unlock would be the defibs and possibly the grenades. Other than that its all gravy. Wont take long at all to get 2 ranks, considering there is around 40.

Well, Yesterday when I played, I did a round of titan, then the map switched, and it changed to conquest. So I'm assuming yes. I guess they went ahead and made Titan up to 64 players.

There is a way to setup an unranked BF2 server with ALL weapons unlocked. I'm sure you should be able to do the same for an unranked 2142 server.
