There are actually three 2142 servers in the TG network. The third server's IP address is 204.13.5.8. That server will have a Ranked 2142 server installed on it as soon as the game is released.

My clan and I sponsor this server.

Apophis and I have worked out an agreement. I'll let him explain the details if he desires to. TG is a great network. My clan and I have had a lot of fun playing on the TG servers. We like the tactical approach to game play. I had the server and wanted to help out. I'm glad to see it is getting used.

I haven't said because I think I read in the SOP's that it was discouraged to promote your clan in these forums. It's a small group. Made up mostly of a group of friends that got together while playing Tribes 2.

I hope I wasn't out of line with my postings or violated an established SOP. If so ,I apologize. I'll stop posting until I have had a chance to reread the SOP's.

I've been watching the pings on the third server (since it's full I can't get in). I've often wondered what the pings would be. The last time I checked there were six below 20ms. Only three were above 100ms. One of those had to be on dialup.

The clan is called Bound & Determined. We are a group of people that met playing Tribes 2. The clan died off for a while because everyone was burnt out on BF2. A few of us love the POE mod. One thing we really like about the mod is the taller grass and that there is a lot of it. It allows for more stealth. That is one thing we wish BF 2142 had more of.

The 100+ pings were probably European players.

I generally get between 90-120 as my ping.

With the server population pretty or near full - can a "ticker" be put atop the screen(?) -

"Visit out forums - www.tacticalgamer.com"
"No Bunny hopping allowed"
ETC.

Would be a nice way of getting more play to join the forums and play our
BF 2142 servers and encourage teamwork.
