Titan core room defence - made easy
Have you played titan and your core room is under attack, your squad is wiped out and you have to respawn in the hanger and run to the core....that 20 sec run kills your chances of defence doesn't it
what the squad needs is the shortest run from spawning into the core room, so the squad leader needs to stay behind the forcefield or put a spawn beacon behind the force field ....of course this is the way DICE designed it, to encourage epic core room battles ![]() for the full on tactics the squad leader would put the spawn beacon in the core room between the core and the see through wall next to the blown door where the enemy come in and the squad leader is by the other blown door shown in pic above so he can get a bit of action but still be pretty safe. Then squad members spawn in the core room, the first second they orientate themselves they have some protection given the wall, they can see the enemies coming through the wall and best of all they are coming in next to the key choke point. The spawn beacon also is reasonably well protected from grenades by its location in the design of the core room if the attack is real heavy the squad leader retires behind the force field, if the spawn beacon is destroyed, the squad can spawn on the squad leader, this way the enemy only have 5-12 secs in the core room unharassed

Re: Titan core room defence - made easy
I was there (that's me it looks like he's going to shoot in the back there
) - it was easy defence since the opposition wasn't remotely organised.

Re: Titan core room defence - made easy
Its easy if the enemy isnt organized. But if they send the whole team in then it gets a bit hairy. Once you start getting unlocks, youll see things like grenades, C7, cloaking, sentry guns, rockets, shotguns, shields...oh so many different tactics.

Re: Titan core room defence - made easy
Neither team shoot through the barrier, but thats the idea, as defending squad leader you are totally safe and you're guys can just respawn on you again & again and run the short distance into the core room

Re: Titan core room defence - made easy
Oh, I saw the part about the SL getting some action, like he could try and shoot people through the barrier and into the room. The SL can guard against flank attempts though (or is there a sheild on the side passages)?

Side passages are shielded.
