I used to play a lot on SWAT servers but I got banned by the admin because I started to overuse APM's when I took up sniping.

I know, my soldier name is YouHitMyKnife but I don't use the knife as often as I'd like to(only 77 knife kills on this soldier but over 1000 on my old soldier). Plus TG doesn't like bunny hopping and one of my favorite tricks is jumping over the person and knifing them from behind. So...Hi.
You've killed me quite a few times! Great to have you on the forums!

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"

I have returned after a long absence to rocket everyone to death. This game is the biggest pain to reinstall and get working right =) Gotta figure out how to do widescreen, gotta figure out how to keep punkbuster from kicking you, gotta figure out the right sequence to install the patches... Nice to see familiar faces still around!

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"

Hi guys,

registered on the site over year ago for Frontlines: Fuel of War (and we all knew how that turned out ) but i was drawn to tactical gamer, for the excellent teamplay and maturity (and fun).

Now that i finally got BF2142 working on vista (damn punkbuster kept kicking me for no reason) I tried the BF2142 tactical gamer server and i am loving it again.

Hope to see you on the battlefield

PS i am dutch so my english isn't my native language

Hello Cinerama! English is not the first language for a few around here, don't be afraid to speak up anyway. And welcome to the 2142 forums.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"

Hi guys! I'm zew45s in BF2, PoE2 and ze45 in BF2142. Finally have this game and wanna play in TG style on your server. Don't have enough experience and good equipment in the game yet, so I play so far on other servers. I'm russian and I'm bad eng speaker, but mostly understand what's saying around. I play as a medic, support, others occasionally. See ya on the battlefield!

Hey man welcome on the forums!

First of all you do not need any experience or equipment to play on that server don´t be silly
Many of us ( me included ) don´t have English as their first Language so it should be fine. If your not comfortable with your English then SM first a bit more to get used to the words all these things you need. You most likely speak some kinda mix of military and normal English and it´s easy to learn.
The unlocks should come pretty fast on the TG server and if you haven´t already unlock the DEFIB first.. the most powerful "weapon" in that game.
Most SLs will ask you to come in as Assault/Medic anyway.
IF you have any further questions feel free to send me a pm and i shall answer all your questions.

Best wishes and stuff

Mirror

Edit: Best avatar ever by the way... reminds me to smoke more sheesha!

The unlocks will come fast don't worry. You can always switch kit with a dead soldier with 'G' key by default. The best experience you can get is on TG with no doubt! We won't blame you for being new to the game, all you need is to follow the rules and SOPs.

Welcome to the future!

EDIT: I hate you Mirror!

Anyway thanks again.
Yes, I have defibrillators, coz I'm a medic almost always.
Thanks for wishes and stuff.

Well, I don't smoke&drink despite of I'm russian

Lost in translation here I think. Mirror definitely wasn't being rude, in any sense.
