Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Hello,
I just wanted to stop in and say hi. I am new to online gaming and man I glad that I ran across the tactical game server. I have been on since just after Christmas and I have noticed several themes on some of the other servers. Evidently you should run around the map like a brain damaged test monkey and shoot at every thing that moves. Teammates, thats ok, they moved therefor you should shoot them. Lack of direction, refer to brain damaged monkey comment above. The F-word seems to be pretty popular. Listen, I use it all the time. It's very versital. But I don't need to here it every time somebody gets popped. How about sharing some useful info like "There is a dude sneaking up to you with a knife". I have really had a good time playing on this server. The sqaud leaders are great. Good instructions and teamwork mindset. It makes a big difference when playing with a gameplan and good communication. Need me to "Defend here" ok no problem. Attack that, no sweat. Just let me know. If you can put up with my sloth like reflexes I will follow your orders. See you out there. Bigdaddy5709 |

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
I started by playing Battlefield Vietnam but never went on-line to play until BF2. Of course I quickly ran into the lone wolfs, tk’ers, and other sociopaths that are well documented here. I tried unsuccessfully to find a clan or group that promoted team play, improving their skills, and was well organized. I gave up on it early last year but couldn’t resist getting BF 2142 when the holidays came. As you can imagine given the way the game is designed, playing off-line was fun for about an hour.
I went on-line and came across TG. I have to admit I was skeptical at first and didn’t want to make any commitments without knowing if anyone / everyone walked the talk. I’ve been very impressed by what I’ve seen. I’ve been reading all the sections of the forums and have played a few games on the server. Everyone has been very welcoming and I’ve had a great time*. EA Games owes you guys a lot. I’m going to try and sign up for the university tonight. I’m also going to try and take advantage of the free unlocks this weekend. * - special thanks to the team of medics that caused brown-outs reviving me. |

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Hey there guys! I played at your server a few times and was really fun, great squadleaders and teamplay. Everytime I get online I first check the TG servers. I love the teamplay, it really makes bf 2142 much more fun. Well, I hope to see you again in the server sometime, but is it just me or is the conquest server empty for a while already? Anyways, go TG!
-Concr3te edit: nvm, I'm in another time zone than most of you guys so I'm just checking the server at the wrong time I guess :P Last edited by Concr3te; 02-18-2007 at 12:58 PM. |

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Might as well drop in and say my bit.
My name's Heous (That's pronounced Hey-Us, since most people have trouble with it), and I have to say that I really enjoy the 2142 server you guys run. It's less n00bish than a lot of the other servers I've been to, and it's fun when I am able to get into a squad where people have mics and work together. It's getting to the point where I barely play in any other servers than TG. My XFire's the same as my name, in case any of you wish to say hi sometime. |

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Hey guys..I just joined your site looking for a good server to join for BF2142, as I just got it. I'm an older gamer (the wrong side of 30) looking to play and learn my way around this game. It's amazing that I never came across this forum before with all the FPS and tactical games I've played. Hope to see you out there..and please have patience with me LOL

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Howdy all,
I've been chewing dirt on your server when I can get in most eve's and I am having a great time. I finally decided to undust this game from when I first got it in Dec and persue it with a more addictive stance. Im a ex SWG, BF2, and EveO (sparadic still) player. I live in the central time zone and log on most eves when I am not at the bar or playing out (not to mention the joby job). So far I have been playing the assault role as much as I can and I enjoy when I can get on a good squad and help a group effort. I am about halfway through Master Corporal Silver. I have learned an immense amount of info from your site and forums, thanks! I wish I found this sooner. I appreciate what TG is doing for the game and I look forward to progressing my abilities, and support of TG as I get better. Thanks a bunch!

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
I've been lurking around the servers and forums for awhile now and thought it well past time to step up and say "Hi!".
I (as many others have pointed out) enjoy the atmosphere and camaraderie that TG fosters both on their servers and in their forums. And the game play style is truly enjoyable. I would like to say "Thanks!" to the folks behind the scenes and the supporting members for making this all possible. I hope to someday soon join your ranks. Thanks,
