That will let you know about TG, what we are about, and the types of gamers you are likely to find here. If you agree with the ideals and style of play outlined in much of that reading, then you should have a great time here! If not, you'll likely still find some friends and perhaps some spirited debate, so long as you follow the rules. *grin*

As far as joining, TG is something you can join on your own as long as you read the above required reading and the links it directs you to and agree to those terms. If you do, you can add the TG tag yourself simply by adding the TG to your "clan" tag in game. In this sense and others, we are more a community than a "clan." If you want a more clan-like experience with that feeling of "family," then consider joining the Irregulars; we're what we call an In-House Squad that indoctrinates and trains people to the ways of TG! If you do join the Irregulars in particular, be advised you need to get approval before adding a TG-Irr tag though.

Quick question, how did you find us? By the BF2142 server? If so, keep on popping in; if not, find us - the server's title starts in "Tactical Gamer," so it shouldn't be hard to zero in on.

Welcome , Ozi, Voodoo, and Rali! Voodoo, didn't I see you in game a day or two ago in my squad? I could swear I did. If that was you, hey, it was fun playing with ya.

Remember to check out the required reading, and if you feel particularly charitable, consider supporting membership if you plan to stick around and decide you love the community. I've made the decision to get mine; it may have only been two weeks (or has it even been that long? It seems like longer, honestly), but looking into this community's history and the experience I've had so far has proven to me that this group is worth the investment.

Regardless of whether you decide to go SM or not, I hope you'll all have a fabulous time here and on the TG servers. I look forward to playing with you all.

Hey everyone. Got few words to say...
I gotta say I love your server guys and how active TG members are in that server that enforce using VoIP! May I suggest getting another server? I know money doesn't grow on trees but damn your server is always full!

I also wanted to apologize to few of the members. I don't recall the names but I played with them previously. The plan was to run up the middle in Camp G and spam grenades. Then rush to cap the base. Well since that didn't work out I went to grab the walker and for some reason my game just froze... Sorry!

Lastly, for some reason my VoIP turns off in the middle of the game for no reason at all. I sometimes turn it on but as soon as I click back on the main menu screen it goes back to off. Reinstalled BF2142 so hopefully it works fine now. See ya in the game!

We do have a second server (a NS server), but it is not always populated. If you want to encourage its use and have Northern Strike, get folks together to help seed it and consider participating in the Frosty Friday event on that server.

Glad you are happy with our group. Read over our primer and other required reading if you are curious about us, and don't hesitate to put on the |TG| tags if you do the reading and adhere to our play style.

Been playing on TG servers for a while now... probably seen a few of you around. I'm interested in joining up (and have read all the indoctrinating material.) So what's next? (Icefoxen?)

Well, you must have missed it but in part of that material it does let you know that you can put on the |TG| tag permitting you have read all the necessary material and agree to play by our rules and philosophy. If you agree to that and have read, understand, and agree to everything, then go ahead and put it on. That will denote you in-game as a member of our community and someone who adheres to our philosophies. Be sure you're on good behavior befitting of TG whenever the tag is on.

If you want a more "family"-like experience that a smaller squad offers, consider going a step further and joining an in-house squad (IHS). Those are the folks that you see that wear a tag like |TG-Irr| or |TG-3rd|. Non-SMs can join the Irregulars, and even if you decided to become a Supporting Member, I'd still recommend going with the Irregulars first. Many newcomers to TG end up joining the Irregs to help learn the ropes and get to know the community better. We're essentially an unofficial training corps for TG, and the door is always open. If you are interested in that, just head on over to the BF2 forum group, and you should find a forum for us Irregulars. You should find the necessary info needed to join the Irregulars IHS there.

Regardless of your decision, I look forward to seeing you on the battlefield.
