New to TG? Drop a "HI" - Page 37

Hello guys n gals,

I am 35 years old and right now my the only game i play is 2142. I started with BF2 and had fun with it. I've been playing 2142 for a while now, my rank is i think warrant officer gold.

i guess the important thing to say is:

I like to play as a team/squad.
I like to use voice chat (can do Teamspeak or Ventrilo or whatever)
I can follow commands/instructions

However:

I am 35 years old, therefore i have limited time to play. I will NOT be able to live and die 2142 all the time

When I am playing, I can follow my squad leader's orders and play as a team.

I will RARELY be able to commit 100% to a game/match. This means that if I say I will be there, I will be there. So since I don't want to make excuses for NOT being there I will never commit to something that I may not be able to do.

I have a 2.16 GHz dual core Dell with 2 GB Corsair Dominatror RAM and a 256 GE force 7800 Graphics card with a 27" LCD display.

I would like to Join TG and play with you guys as a squadie.

Please contact me and tell me what i need ot do next.

Welcome to all the new TG blood, you have found the greatest place on earth to play games...Don't let Walt Disney fool ya, this is the place. Start by following the link in my signature for the new guy and start reading the sop's and TG primer. Jump on the servers and join some squads. Look for squads named learn TG and get ready to have the gaming world you once knew dissapear. If you see squads with 3rd, 9th, 8th, N.U.T.S. or any other variation of TG anything feel free to join if there is space, just hurry, they fill up fast. Feel free to jump in our teamspeak channel and ask for a spot if you are having a hard time getting into a in house squad ran squad, we will almost always make space for ya. Once again welcome and enjoy your time here, I look forward to meeting you on the battlefield.

I'm not new to TG but I'm completely new to Battlefield... completely. I expect to be completely lost to 2142

Hey Sirus, welcome to 2142, from your sigpic it looks like you are a WoW player, this will take some adjusting for ya. Tons of reading you can do, if you want some websites to go check out PM me and I will send you a list of places I went to and some I still go to when I was new to 2142. See you online soon.

hey, i just joined the forums, and i like your in game server always full of people
your rules seem fair and just, but you guys make it seem like your super strict about them. just a thought. anyways i'm trying to become a squad leader in this game, any thoughts...? i've had some luck in the past.
*i also have this annoying punkbuster error, i think it has somethign to do with vista cus it works fine on my crappy desktop, anyway, so fair i've skimmed the rules and will probibly be playing on your server a lot

Skill level is not the point, if you do the teamwork thing then you're our kinda guy.

TG is not a clan where you have a try out

TG is a community of mature players

Players self appoint themselves as such see official write up here (and you dont have to be a paying member)

Sounds great, welcome to the Community! The only thing you nned to do next is read, read, read. There is a lot of reading about our rules and just general information. You can find out quite a bit about the people you play with by reading thier posts on specific subjects.

Feel free to join any squad at any time. If you want to really figure how we all play, join a squad with a TG member as the Sl, even better...with a TG as SL and a few TG's as SM's. You'll never play the game the same again!

Got back into FPS games with 2142 (after a severe RTS 7 year itch). It has been quite fun playing with the 2142 Single Player mod. See you on the servers, I'll be happy to take orders! Muiriddin in game still feeling like a newbie! ;-)

Are you asking about Northern Strike? Based upon what I've seen browsing through the servers it isn't as popular as vanilla 2142. I own it and like the additional maps and I believe TG has a frozen friday where they run the Northern Strike maps.

Hey all, i'm following the forum for a while now and now that thread came to my attention ^^ so hi to everyone.
I joined the TG server for like 3 times and enjoyed playing there.

just briefly some words about myself:
i'm from Germany, Leipzig if anyone knows that. Am 27 and have a little boy at the age of almost 11months ;-)
i bought BF2142 somewhen in april this year and found my self suffering from crap team play and felt more or less left alone on the battlefield. so i'll be more often on your server from now on ;-)

My in-game name will look like [Axia] IcedDEVIL.
