Welcome spitter! Yes, that's what happened to me too. The server went straight to my favorites list after my first time on it.

P.S. I remember running into you on Gamp Gib today and we killed each other at the same time. It was definitely memorable to see (paraphrasing) "You were killed by spit"

I'm new around here as well. Also a WoW and L4D gamer so I've seen you guys out and about in multiple games. Great site and information database you've built up here. I'm gonna try and find one of your servers...hopefully the ping is good as I'm in Canada eh!

If you can't find the TG servers right away, adjust your filter settings (turning auto balance off etc) and type in tacticalgamer.com in the search bar. You should be set then.

I'm certainly not new to TG, but I am fairly new to BF2142. I have played it before for several months, but that was at least like two years ago. Before the booster pack existed.

I come from a PR background mostly here, there is quite the change of pace between PR and this, it will take me a while to get used to it.

By the way, any words of advice on what unlock tier to go through? I have four left, I have already gotten the Defib. I'm not big on AT/Engineer, nor am I a sniper. I'm mostly deciding between either one of the Assault class assault rifles, or maaayybe the support class's shotgun. Grenades I don't think I need much, and it doesn't take long to get a field upgrade for that (in a few hours playing today I managed to get all of the field upgrades. That is when I decided I had been playing for too long). I tried both today as pickup-kits, the 40-round one seemed to reload a little slow to me, and was almost unbearably inaccurate. The other one seemed to have quite a bit of recoil.

I believe there are multiple posts with hints as to unlocks(check the tactics forum). Just one thing though, you will def want grenades not only will you use them a lot but the two upgrades after that (the sprint ones) are CRUCIAL and you will be sorely lacking without them.

the order I recommend for new people are
defibs
grenades the two above grenades for run further and recover faster
then the tree up to rifle rockets

the ones for moving faster and not as glamorous as you dont get a new gadget to play with but many people who unlock them at the end wish they had unlocked them first, being able to move effectively is a weapon in its own right
