Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Hey kids-
I was just over at the total battlefield 2142 forums when someone mentioned, in a thread about no one joining squads/following orders, that on TG servers you're kicked if you don't squad up.
i thought, "i'm gonna need to play there"
Some of you may know me...I'm the guy that is futilely screaming "WE'D BE WINNING IF YOU GUYS WOULD USE TEAMWORK" on public servers all the time.
All I want is for someone to tell me what to do on the battlefield. Seems I can find that here.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
I've been lurking on the server and the forums on and off for about a month now. I've always played FPS games when I wanted nice mindless fun. But after raiding regularly in a WoW guild for four or five months now, I've found I can't actually stand mindless running and gunning anymore. It was a real relief when I found your servers.
I've been tempted to join up as a supporting member, but I don't think I play enough to justify it yet, so I'm still stuck on the fence, but I wanted to de-lurk, say thanks for the server, and wave at the people whose squads I've been habitually joining (like Reader).

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Howdey im kore and brand new to TG.
i love the bf games and have all of them, i consider myself to be a
BA HARDCORE gamer, and love to use all of those reall world tactics. im extremely good at following orders, and will get done any order givein to me by my squad leader or commander. im a pretty good squad leader and are usally a medic, bet can do all kits if needed.
i love asch's quote "Support game play in a near-simulation environment. Where the focus of play would not be solely on doing what it takes to win, but doing so utilizing real-world combat strategy and tactics rather than leveraging exploits provided to players by the design of the game engine, regardless of the level of advantage, if any, it gives over the opposing team." because this is exactly how i like to do it!
iv been playing FPS's sence 7(i started playing wolfinstine) and building comps sence 10, im really excited to get playin with the gang in two weeks when i get my new comp. iv been looking for a group like this for the past 5 years(ppl who play like i do) and now iv finnaly found it! thx to everyone!

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Aloha! I stumbled across the Tactical Gamer server and at once decided that this was the group I wanted to game with. The use of squad based tactics and steady communication really heightens the gaming experience. I look forward to teaming up with y'all and hope that I perform better than even I expected. See you there.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Welcome! Both of those games have a pretty decent following here.
You found the right place. Welcome to the forums!
Good stuff here. We have quite a few guys that have been saved from WOW. Also there is never any pressure to become an SM. We have guys that play tons that aren't SM's and we have people that you hardly ever see that are SM's. It's a great community.
Welcome!
Welcome!
I already welcomed you in the other Forum but I'll do it again, so welcome aboard!
Just about everyone here puts teamplay above score. The important thing is to work as a team and have fun!
For everyone that hasn't done so already check out the server rules and SOP's. They will answer questions before you even ask them.Retired 6th DB

Welcome! Lots of new people since I last looked here! Cant wait to kill you.
And yes, this is the place for teamwork, although the Xmas gift people are just finding us, and we are still working on them.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Hi, I just joined up today, basically to find out the IP for TG's BF2142 server. I'm sort of tired with all the servers where ppl basically try to get as many points as possibl, without actually doing anything for the entire team/squad.
If anybody can show me where I can find the server's IP, I'd appreciate it. Didn't find it yet
