Gosh, I actually never posted here!
Best time to post was years ago... Second best time is now!!
So here it goes:

Hi TG,

Been enjoying the server since the early days of BF2142 (under another persona until I lost my disk?! anyways, I re-bought the game in early 2008) and finaly joined the forums/started wearing the TG tag in may 2008. I decided to become a SM a few months ago (I guess I’m slow to comit).

So i’m not exacly « new » to TG, but then again...

I’m a Battlefield veteran, ie. I First first played BF1942 for more time that I care to admit (and practicly only against/with the AI). Then I went thru hell with BF Vietnam... And back with BF2 which I liked a lot (and still miss from time to time... But since I gave away my BF2 disks, it remains a memory).

I happen to run a business and am part of a family of three, which does’t leave a lot of spare time to play videogames (or come and chat on the forums). But I like to use that precious spare time with quality players and TG is (to me anyways) the perfect place to find said kind of players!

What's the rule of thumb for wearing TG tags? Are they supposed to be for supporting members only or is there an application I can fill out or something?

Supporting membership is optional. The most obvious benefits: 'reserved' spots on the server, ability to join an IHS, and higher priority in events (such as TGU classes, tournaments, etc).

Huh, I've only ever hung around the "tactics" pages and completely missed this area.

Hi, I'm Dmitri Merkov, just playing as Merkov (I made a soldier with the full name, but I didn't give him the BF2 veteran thing, and was too dumb at the time to just delete the soldier and re-make him with the full name, so I play as Merkov).

I make a much better squad member than leader, partly because I don't play enough to know the maps and things... So far my main skill is simply being cannon fodder, but I have a high in-game rank, so I'm very well equipped cannon fodder

I guess the only question I have is where you can learn about the courses or whatever that you guys run that I keep hearing about. I'd love to learn how to play better and be more useful.

Now I guess I'd better go scrounge up a picture for the pic thread...

You don't have to check it though - most (all?) instructors will announce that they've made a class in the 2142 general discussion.
