Welcome everybody, with an added "back" to those who are returning.

I've been kinda inactive the past week, but hopefully that will change soon.

Been playing on the TG servers lately. Still learning the ins-and-outs of 2142 but really like the communication and teamwork here. Good group of people from what I've seen so far. Thanks for the good times.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"

Allow me to say that of the servers, clans, and people I've played with |TG| stands a cut above the rest. The fact that you play with an emphasis on tactics, teamwork, and realism is a breath of fresh air. A world without suicide tactics, rocket jumping, and bunny hopping is a dream come true.

As for me, I've only had BF2142 for a few weeks and am loving it. This is the first FPS I've played off of console. I was previously pretty big into Halo, Halo 2, Rainbow 6, and Ghost Recon.

I am an assault specialist and squad leader (though I understand that I will be following more experienced officers if I'm allowed to play with TG). I prioritize my responsibilities as (1) squad commands, (2) combat medic, (3) firing my weapon.

I have read all of your required material and hope that I can find a home in |TG|.

PS - Is there an updated version of your modular signature creator for BF2142?

Yea i am new here too and i very much love your server more fun than going to another server with bunnyhoppers jihad jeeps etc. Just all the things that make you want to break your computer.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"

I just wanted to stop in this thread and call all of you Tactical Gamer people a bunch of jerks who have completely ruined this game for me and severely limited the number of servers I can now play on.

Before I found the TG server I would just play the game merrily and have fun jumping onto a random game and doing whatever it is that people do on them. I'd shoot stuff, I'd get killed, I'd go to sleep.

Then I found the TG server and I decided to give it a shot. After the initial "zomg! I need to get on a squad" freak out moment I found myself actually doing things in groups and actually having a purpose. For the first time ever I saw groups of people running around with each other and actually helping each other out. You mean transport ships actually transport people to specific destinations and then wait for you as you complete your task? Crazy.

I am being serious about that last part. After playing on your servers I really find it hard to go elsewhere. I got so fed up with the way everyone is a lone wolf and not playing together that I actually started up a squad last night and had my first attempt at issuing orders and trying to get people to work together. The Commander gave me no freedom and was changing his orders every 2 minutes so I eventually gave up, but at least I tried to bring people together.

I must say that the simple act of requiring people to be on a squad sets your servers apart from all the rest.

*que angelic music from heaven* Another one saved by TG!!

Take the time and read the required reading stickies and you will never play on another server again, unless its of course to go pub raiding with a group of TG'ers. Welcome to the last community you will ever need.

This pretty much sums up how most of us got here and why 99.9% of us stayed.
