Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Hi guys, I have played on your server a number of times and love the teamplay. Thanks for being the "Oasis" in an otherwise desolate desert. *salutes*

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Hello all. I'm not necessarily new to TG but I've been absent for about 2 years and am back around playing BF2142 now (BF2 previously). I always tried to play on TG servers "back in the day" and look forward to more time on them now. I plan to become a supporting member soon, just want to make sure I'll stick with this game for a while.
I've been playing a different game for a while. Has three letters and is probably taboo to mention.
Good to be back. Trying to figure out what I'm doing all over again, but it's not too tough. I started out playing mostly Engineer since I used to love shooting down choppers in BF2, but I tried Support last night and kind of like the heavy machine gun (plus ammo supply). Maybe I'll save some unlocks until I can figure out which path I want to stick to. Current soldier name: |TG| Noxxium. See ya on the battlefield.
EDIT: Supporting member now! WOOT!Last edited by cversion7; 07-31-2007 at 04:34 PM.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Hey all.
Fairly new to TG, about a month now since its been my first choice for servers. Got so sick of joining servers with 9x 1 person squads... You guys forevor changed my outlook on 2142 (never played BF2 or 1942). I love teamwork so much that I often die trying to help out / revive my team mates. Decent at squad leader, learning alot more from ExplodingSilver's vids.
Also just got my first paycheque at my new job so planning on becoming a supporting member
See ya all on the Battlefield.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Wow, seems like I'm only one of many new people to have joined here recently.
Anyway, greetings. After I played on a TG server, I found all other servers lacking and kept gravitating toward TG, and now it's really all I play when possible. The teamwork, communication and overall quality of players and rules is amazing.
I look forward to getting to know the TG community better.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Hey all,
I finally got myself enough money to buy a new computer and found myself willing to try out a multi-player shooter. So I went to the store, got myself Battlefield 2142, dl'd the booster pack, started playing....
and found out that practice may make perfect, but no practice makes for a very very short experience
Because I was tired of costing my team ticks all the time, I decided to read up on some tactics while I was at work.
I ended up here and found loads of useful posts. So i'd like to thank you all for helping me out. Can't wait to get home and try the game again now that I know which beginner mistakes (all) I made when I played.
Who knows when I pick up the pace a bit, I can join the TG servers to get fragged
Thanks again
Smokeyla

Mature new player
Hello guys n gals,
I am 35 years old and right now my the only game i play is 2142. I started with BF2 and had fun with it. I've been playing 2142 for a while now, my rank is i think warrant officer gold.
i guess the important thing to say is:
I like to play as a team/squad.
I like to use voice chat (can do Teamspeak or Ventrilo or whatever)
I can follow commands/instructions
However:
I am 35 years old, therefore i have limited time to play. I will NOT be able to live and die 2142 all the time
When I am playing, I can follow my squad leader's orders and play as a team.
I will RARELY be able to commit 100% to a game/match. This means that if I say I will be there, I will be there. So since I don't want to make excuses for NOT being there I will never commit to something that I may not be able to do.
I have a 2.16 GHz dual core Dell with 2 GB Corsair Dominatror RAM and a 256 GE force 7800 Graphics card with a 27" LCD display.
I would like to Join TG and play with you guys as a squadie.
Please contact me and tell me what i need ot do next.
My 2142 screen name is Gradavekien

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Welcome to all the new TG blood, you have found the greatest place on earth to play games...Don't let Walt Disney fool ya, this is the place. Start by following the link in my signature for the new guy and start reading the sop's and TG primer. Jump on the servers and join some squads. Look for squads named learn TG and get ready to have the gaming world you once knew dissapear. If you see squads with 3rd, 9th, 8th, N.U.T.S. or any other variation of TG anything feel free to join if there is space, just hurry, they fill up fast. Feel free to jump in our teamspeak channel and ask for a spot if you are having a hard time getting into a in house squad ran squad, we will almost always make space for ya. Once again welcome and enjoy your time here, I look forward to meeting you on the battlefield.
