That would roughly equate to 4 am my time, an unfortunate time period where admins tend to be asleep and bunny hopping/roofing starts creeping in. Playing either earlier (say, 5-6 am German time) or playing much later (10/11 pm german time onward) will get you much better results. Unfortunately for Europeans, it appears that many of the TG are American, so the server tends to twist more towards GMT-5.

Welcome and yes, we admins sometimes require sleep or we get more cranky than we usually are. If you do encounter players camping a UCB, stealing vehicles from the uncaps, assassinating COs, or breaking any other rules, that you report any players to an admin so we may deal with it retroactively.

Thanks and welcome again to TG!

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"

thank you guys for the welcome!
i didnt get the names of the players that were doing that, but from now on iŽll try to join at a later time, unfortunately my real life prevents me from playing as much as i would otherwise (on second thought, thatŽs probablay better, since i like the game very much)

i caught up with the reading and i like it very much! sounds like i finally found a place, where it is about the fun and not just points (though i could use a couple of those to get some more unlocks)

iŽll bring the pizza and the beers, if you let me join one of your squads, but be warned: this is my first fps expirience and i suck big time!

thanks again and i hope to be able to play with you guys in the near future...

    Hi,

I've recently found TG and enjoy the Server. I belong to a clan, and found huge frustration when our server was unavailable or I wanted a change of view for whatever reason to go from server to server, with mindless/ childish/ non-squad /no command obeying madness that is the world out there.
Its nice to have a second server that is friendly, professional and open.
My stats are currently terrible which I'm securely blaming on my BT Broadband and 7300GS Graphics card; both of which I am hoping to resolve shortly.

Either as a laggy target, or super warrior to be your server has so far been a real pleasure.

Thanks Reaper, but lag is my current excuse for being shot in the face... alot.

I'm getting a new provider next week when i move house, and really hoping to upgrade my gpu and cpu soon too.
If i'm STILL rubbish after all that, then i really will be spending more time on your servers so i have a wall of squadmembers to hide my shame behind.

See you Server side once my ISP is up and running

i actually joined here to to tell what i think of such servers, but after reading some of the stuff in this forum, i think i just happend to have come at an adminless time, as it seems not to be your way of playing.
iŽll try to join again sometime, since it sounds/reads like a revelation to play your style...
4am EST is usually the time around which Late Nite TG with the 3rd SFD wraps up. Most of the admins usually try to catch some sleep right around then. So yeah, if the server is still populated (which is unusual at that hour), it can get pretty unruly.

Thanks for stopping by and understand that it's not the TG way!

Hi, my name is FL1pmode. I have been playing on TG server for almost 2-3 weeks now and it certainly has been a blast. A coherent squad, led by a TG member, is simply multiplayer bliss. So much bliss, that in fact its about the only server where I play Conquest most of the time

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"

    Greetings!

I have been a lurker on your forums for a long time(*), and I have always been impressed by the dedication and serious approach you guys have to these tactical games. And it is right up my alley..

I see that the first European in house squads are forming, which really bring me hope of finding more dedicated players at EU friendly times. This has been my main concern about joining TG, the time difference.

Thanks to ExplodingSilver's super videos on YouTube (and his distinct british accent), I decided to go for BF2142, because it looked very cool, and I have a little experience with BF2 aswell. So, I bought the game and I will buy NF in 30 mins - after I go and become a supporting member, because i just got kicked from your server! *grr* :-)

Real life: 32 years old male, living in Stockholm, Sweden (but I am danish). Going back to school in january to study civil engineering after having just finished a 5 year employment at Michelin Tires.

    Best Regards,
    Kristian aka. Banjar

(*) this is a new account, simply because 'Banjar' is the ingame name i selected - I figured I might aswell make an account with that name too. If an admin wants to delete my old account, please let me know and I will provide the details.

Banjar, it's good to finally hear from you. Thank you for supporting our servers. The BF2142 arena here at TG has been a little quiet lately but you can always watch for the eigth both in game and in teamspeak. We would love to have another person running with us who sounds funny. Currently the only real accent in the 8th belongs to Insunabula. Cheers!
