Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Hi Everybody.
I'm Wave (or WaveKahcsvolob) and I've been playing on TG for about 4-5 months on and off, but pretty steadily for the past few weeks. Someone was asking me if I was new today in server, so I figured I'd come on and look for the thread like this, so here I am! woot. Hmmmm, alittle about me. I'm 20, I live in New Jersey, USA, I go to college for Mech Engy (woot, engy in real life), I'm in Air Force ROTC (no i don't want to fly jets), and I <3 BF2142. This is my favorite tactical shooter, and its the only comp game that I can't listen to music during. Speaking of music, I'm a big metalhead and techno/trance fan. I also dabble in alternative and whatnot, but who doesn't. I only play two other online games seriously: Counter-Strike:Source, and World of Warcraft, though I'm quitting the latter. My CS:S clan is Fish Tank Clan. We also run a pretty tight server.
(Should probably break this into paragraphs). I play on my 2-yr-old 17" Dell Laptop which overheats constantly. I work at Staples, and play games whenever I'm not at work or at school. My real name is Alex, but I think there are a few Alex's in the clan, so Wave is fine. I love online comics, especially explosm.net and xkcd.com . So far I think everyone in the clan is really cool, and hope to join one of the sub battalions so people don't just think I'm a poser wearing the TG tag.
As a player, I respect all the rules and always conduct myself with maturity. I don't bunny hop, even on servers where there isn't a rule against it, I don't kamikaze jeeps, and I stay put when I'm commander. I'm not that good at Squad Leading, I'll be honest, but when I do do it infrequently when there aren't any good squads, I try to emmulate the TG SL's that I follow when I play at other times. I'm a great Assault Medic and love running around with the defib keeping everyone alive. BF2142 was the first game that I picked up and was good at from the start, and I love the gameplay more than any other.
So thanks for letting me in your clan, hope to see you all in game!

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Well welcome, and sorry for asking if you were new... I haven't seen you on the server before and you had the |TG| tag so I just asked. Again welcome to the |TG| community. As I see you are a supporting member, also a welcome to the benefits of always getting on to the server when you want to, the ability to join In House Squads and the responsibility of keeping up the good name of |TG| and all her members... (or is |TG| a 'him?')
Anyways hope to see you in game more often, you played well tonight, and hopefully we will see you more often in the forums as well.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Hello there, I would take this moment to introduce myself, I suppose. I've been wearing the |TG| tag for almost two months now, since I first joined the site. Sadly, I never took the time to introduce myself here, but better now than never.
My soldier profile is also under the name of LordKelvin. I discovered TG completely by accident one day, and added the server to my favorites after only a single round. I had the privilege of having Insun be my squad leader for those first few rounds, and it was fantastic. I had never scored that many points in a round, nor had that much fun, period.
I returned quite often, often daily, and finally decided to join the clan. I'm glad I did. In game, if you want to recognize me instantly, I'll be the one begging to be the assault-sniper in the squad. If not, I'm the most loyal medic you've ever seen.
Recently, I've been unable to play with my own clan because they haven't released the Mac version of the 1.50 patch. So I wait. In the meantime, I'd be glad to hang around, and talk.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Ah - I made an introduction thread in General, but I thought I would add to this thread as well

Been playing TG servers for the past two weeks, and picked up BF2142 playtime about a week before that. Really want to get into the teamwork and maybe one day I'll venture into TS

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Hi,
I've been playing Battlefield 2142 since it came out. I've been religiously on your server (when it isnt capped out) for atleast the last year.
I'm looking to join TG. I enjoy working with a team and having them work with me, so as is obvious, I get the best experience when I'm in TG squads.
I believe a number of your players already recognize my name online, so maybe they can write me a reccomendation. Ofcourse, you can always check my BF Stats on EA's site.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Demented_SCV
Edit: I found the link in your FAQ that says to just put |TG| in front of my name, provided I follow TG's rules. I'll do that, until I hear otherwise.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
Of course, you're entirely welcome to do so provided you follow the SOP (standard operating procedures) and the spirit of the TG primer. Some helpful admin can link you to these, I'm sure. But they can be found in the Announcements part of the forum.

Hey SCV, I've seen you a lot on the server. You're pretty good.

Re: New to TG? Drop a "HI"
I'm a newbie to TG, but my buddy "FYAH29" has been around and I've followed TG through him for a while, now...
My main reason for joining was because of Ikariam... It's a pretty interesting time-waster that I've enjoyed thus far... I'm hoping to be able to join Ikariam's TGA (but I'm having a little trouble figuring out just how to do so)... In the meantime, thanks for having me.
