Some people are unbelievable
Three times now after destroying the core, I've been running out of the titan and there are enemy troops waiting there, dug in, ready to kill the fleeing attackers.
They do nothing to defend the titan, they just want a few kills for the points
Their mindset just baffles me
Some people are unbelievable

Re: Some people are unbelievable
Rest assured we will get things on track when we can start enforcing the TG style of play when the final version is released.

Re: Some people are unbelievable
You also get extra point if you can get off the Titan before it explodes. I believe that is his point. You can not kick someone from the server for this action. EA sees that as part of the game.
I've been reading about the rules for ranked servers. EA has tightened up some rules from BF2. I received a reply to a message from a DICE employee that it is exceptable to force squading in 90 seconds like TG's other servers. But that may be all that can be done. From what I hear they have blocked access to the files that is needed to run that script. Plus, you can not stop anyone from using vehicles, playing as commander, or place limits on any other part of the game. I do believe that you can have a rule that you can not attack the uncappable flags. But you are not allowed to restrict anyone from attacking your artillery, UAV trailer, and any other asset. I would suggest that whoever is in charge of your TG admins take the time to read the restrictions and get that word out to all the other admins. As the owner of the server I will be the first to hear from EA about admin problems. It is very important that all TG admins understand the rules for admining a ranked server. I do not think that many of the rules that you use for your POE servers will be allowed. I'm going to see if I can dig around and find a good guide."People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf."

Re: Some people are unbelievable
All those things that you just mentioned are basically rules we have on our servers here anyway, so I don't think running a ranked server here would be drastically different than an unranked server. The only thing I foresee as a problem would be forcing people to join a squad since you said they've blocked access to run that script. There's no doubt there will be quite a few lonewolfs on either side. I'm not sure how we can actually force people to join a squad. On our unranked servers here they just get kicked, but there's no way you could do that on a ranked server......so we'll see how that goes.

Re: Some people are unbelievable
I personally think its crazy how much restrictions they put on the server WE pay for. Of course we should not be allowed to break the rules in game or stat pad but we should be able to dicide who plays on the server if we pay for it.
Which means we can decide whats acceptable behaviour.|TG-Irr| Red

EA doesn't want anybody taking advantage of their admin powers to run up points or to get an ingame advantage. Hence the standards.

As long as we can kick players I think we will be fine.

Re: Some people are unbelievable
I think they just need to remove the kick counter in your stats and give the admins more power to kick players for reasons other than being smacktards.

Re: Some people are unbelievable
We need some way to make the voting work. It does not work in BF2. Best would be to pause the game and make everybody vote and somebody could plead the case but that would just kill the action.
