Once Support dudes get their mounted turrets and Assaults and Medics get their gears I am sure I will more and more other classes... Who could resist the C7s and a cloaking ability either?

But gotta give it up to the vehicle chasing mines.
I was in the beta and even in the demo I still get lagged like hell in the titans.

On that note... I'll probably buy it because I want to love the battlefield games again :P

Re: Who's buying the full version?

Meh, not going to buy the game. In my opinion, it's not worth paying the $50 US /$60 CDN for it. I mean, a dedicated PoE or DC-like mod team could make something like 2142.

So, instead of spending my $60 on 2142, I'm going to spend my $60 on Guild Wars: Nightfall!

Re: Who's buying the full version?

We get to buy it and see how unblanaced the unlocks will be. I'm buying only for the recon kit, but not sure if it will last at TG.

Re: Who's buying the full version?

how many times do i have to say how actually balanced the weapons are?

light assault - more rounds less dmg
med assault - avg mag, avg dmg
heavy assault - less rounds more dmg

the heavy mg does more dmg per shot put has a smaller mag and overheats faster.

as long as you have body armor, you still need a headshot from either sniper rifle for a one shot kill.

I was in the beta test. The Titan's causing the lag was a heavily argued point over on the beta testing forums. There was lag in the beta but I'm not sure if it was from the Titans.

1. the Koenig H-AVR rocks!!
2. the vehicle chasing mines were useless (no stopping power) in the first beta and improved a bit in the second beta. I hope they are better in the final release.

Re: Who's buying the full version?

I cant wait to get the Koenig. You cant guide it but it travels faster and does more dmg. Perfect for ambushes. Id love to see a chart on how much dmg it does on different spots on armor. Armor is nothing to fear once you get this bad boy. I almost want to get this first instead of the Ganz

Re: Who's buying the full version?

I have pre ordered and will pick up my copy probably tomorrow. I like the idea of being able to use our unlocks on our unranked server. As this game is patched and improved i think it will prove to be a great game. Remember how much fun we had in just those few games BHack?

What computer specs do you have? When I first started playing the demo I was on an Athlon 3200+, 1GB RAM, and an AGP 6800GT OC with settings on medium. With that computer I would lag on the titan.

But with my new system I just built yesterday (e6600 Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, ATI x1900XTX) I no longer lag on the titan. And that's with all settings to max with 4x AA.

I'd say the lag has to do with poor optimization of the graphics code while the titan is moving, but unless the BETA testers are on an older mid-grade system with a full server, they may not notice it.

And I'm taking the wait and see approach. Wait and see if the major issues I see have been dealt with and to see how the TG community accepts the game...because I don't really care to play it unless the games are team oriented.

I have more fun each time I play this title. Last night squadded up with BHack and had some excellent fights on the titans. Very cool.
