Release of 2142 what time?
At what time are you suppose to be able to play the pre-loaded version?

In my EA downloader its got a countdown
the release date and time being Thursday 19th Oct midnight (thats in english time)
that would be Thursday 19th Oct 7pm eastern time (assuming same release time in europe as US)

Gamestop says mine already shipped and I have a tracking number for the overnight shipping. When I ordered BF2 last year I received the game a day earlier than I thought I would.

"Well for those that have already pre-loaded the full version of Battlefield 2142 on the EA Downloader, you may notice that the countdown timer has increased for the game's release. At this moment in time it is just below 6 days left to release. So when figuring in the new increased time, the game will now unlock at 10AM PST on Wednesday, October 18th. No word has been posted by EA as to why the time was increased. If we find out more, we'll be sure to let you all know."
So much for the advantage of buying it online to have it on release day. I shoulda just gone to Best Buy.

Good news, cancelled my order from PC World and re-ordered from Amazon. Will now get it either Friday for Saturday, and next week is my week off. Amesome
