The Clark Shotgun (right side support) is by far my favourite unlock. It just forces a completely different playstyle compared to all the rifles. Also with the heartbeat detector you can usually flank/surprise people around corners and blast them to hell.

Plus you also get the close combat pins for every 10 kills (worth 10 points).

I'm interested in the clark, but my fps is currently too low to use it effectively. That's pretty much why I chose to go support and engy, as they're less twitch-oriented than other classes.

Probably the safest choice. If you don't one-shot kill someone in a close face-to-face encounter, you will usually die before getting the second shot off.

OK, well, I'm currently specializing in the Engineer class (with frags unlocked since they're so damned useful).

I have the right-side tree unlocked, and the explosive defusal tool and the NetBat ID unlocked. I'm two unlocks away from the AVR, but I can already saythat if you're not unlocked the anti-air missile, you're really missing out on a handy tool.

Some maps have annoying attack jets and transport jets flying around with impunity, making daredevil manuevers like hot-dropping troops into a silo from a really low altitude.

Trust me, kill them a few times with the SAM launcher thing (I can't remember it's "real" name); their tactics change completely. The missile has devastating manueverability; I've never failed to hit a jet flying by (UNLESS it was at an extreme distance moving very fast perpendicular to me).

Last night I just sat beneath the Titan on the ground with my launcher out and killed the enemy pilot three times in a row; he stopped making attack runs on my Titan for a long while after that since he knew he was going to get destroyed.

Yes, frag grenades are the most useful. Then again so is stamina and endurance unlocks, they allow you to run twice as long and start running again twice as fast. So with both unlocked you can easily go from one base to another. Both unlocks have gotten me away from danger in a quicky.

Stamina and Boost are VERY very good unlocks. I got them pretty late in the game because I deemed them useless but boy was I wrong. They have gotten my head out of a pickle jar quite a few times.

They are useful especially if you play like I do as a medic...sometimes those few seconds count when it comes down to saving a teammate or reviving one.

I have yet to see a chart, but Total Battlefield 2142’s Weapon section does include such information for each individual weapon. For example:

    Voss L-AR

    Deviation Shoot Base/Per Shot/Reduction: 2.5/.024/.08
    Deviation Min: 0.48
    Deviation Moving Max/Forward/Strafe/Reduction: 1/.015/0.1/0.13
    Deviation Jump Max/Per Jump/Reduction: 7/7/0.14
    Deviation Standing: 1.3
    Deviation Crouching: 1.1
    Deviation Zoom: 0.6

    Damage Minimum: 20
    Damage Normal: 25
    Damage Decreasing Distance: 40 Meters
Only Minimal Damage Distance: 65 Meters

I am unable to post URLs, so I cannot provide a direct link to this section. However, the page should appear in most searches on the subject.

Same here man, the booster unlocks are way under rated. Never before I can do the scat man dance for as long as I want without sweating off my back. They are devastating on map like Berlin or Gibraltar with my stealth Recon kit. I could run for as long and as far as I need to break the line then cause some major mayhem.

You know I always wondered. Does ANYONE utilize the light armor option? Its odd, but we always default with heavy armor. Light armor will triple your sprint rate and double your stamina regen, but it provides 'lack luster' protection.

To put it another way. If heavy armor gives you 100 hp then light armor would give you only 70 hp on a 100 hp meter.

I've used light armor at the beginning to try to sprint to a flag, like on Tunis Harbor. Otherwise I avoid it like the plague, same reason I try to heal up to 100% every time I can. I mostly play assault and engineer. Close quarters firefights are constantly close calls. Usually whoever starts shooting first. A sniper body shot would kill you with light armor and I'm constantly getting winged by sniper shots. It's just way too easy to knock you out when playing assault.

Actually, it might be helpful for the engineer. I think I might try it out on the open maps for engineer. Should help with the pop up, shoot, and move out of the way.

can you physically move faster? Or just longer sprints? Just longer sprints is worthless, I think, when you have the upgrades.

To make the light armor worthwhile it would have made sense to let you run faster, longer, and carry more equipment. For instance, the Engineer could have more AT rounds, another mag clip or two and more mines. That would make light armor worth it.

Thats a good point but in that case you would be a light armored heavy infantry unit. Wich I think would balance out the sprint. But then agian with the upgraded stamina I rarely go light anymore. I like getting shot by the zeller as much as I like sticking my hand in a bucket of rusty nails.

    On another note.

Is it me or does the scope on the zeller hinder you visibility considerably?
