If you see me on the server I'lll be using a Lambert or Voss. Going SF/Medic route as well as the player abilities. I'm trying out something though so you might see me doing crazy things such as throwing a RDX next to my feet. So if you're in my squad and you notice me running away try to catch up.

Another approach is to unlock the first 2 of each ladder then rely on the field upgrades to complete ladders for the time you are playing in that evening. I think field upgrades allow you to unlock the next two available of each ladder.

Yea, if you unlock one you can only use one field upgrade from then on.I figured a good way to save unlocks is if you get all but the gun and use the free upgrade for that.

That's not a bad idea. Otherwise what are you goign to use the field upgrade for anyway unless you play another class?

Yeah, I've got the Support trees as far as I need to with just five unlocks (I have no interest in the shotty yet). Now I'm waiting for EA to catch up and give me the rank and unlock I earned last night so I can get to work on Engy/AT.

I'm thinking of taking some Engineer unlocks next. Which is the best side to go first? I want that big engineer gun, yet the mines seem really useful.

You can always at least get the EMP mines with field unlocks. The engy UAV, NetBat, and big gun are the most important to me. I play engy 90% of the time and will probably not bother with the right side of the tree.

I've got most of the engineer unlocks (if you count field upgrades)and I think the right side is a little better (haven't tried the AA though). The big gun is nice, but I'm going to need a lot more practice to get good with it. The right side, however, gives you the emp mines and motion mines. Using the two together is perfect for stopping buggy rushes from getting to your back bases.

Remember the mobile AA guns are useful... If you lock on and shoot the missile, and as long as you keep that lock on the missile will track the Jelo(Jet/Helo) and even make a couple of passes to try to hit the target.

And someone mentioned it does lock on from very far distances and able to maintain the lock in great distances too... So just keep that lock on that Jeelo.

I've got the left side of the Support tree unlocked and I'm working on mixing up the Assault tree at the moment.

No problem changing that up a bit if there's a more pressing need...otherwise, there's been some great games so far.

Little surprised at how much resistance the game is getting from so many TG'ers.....

Ah well, to each their own.

Well, I'm done with the assault tree. I've gotten as far as I wanted to go.

After reading through the posts and thinking about what I need as mostly a SL, I've decided to go straight up the spec ops tree. The camo and RDX will come in quite handy.

If anyone cares we still don't seem to have enough dedicated medics or dedicated anti vehicle engineers.

Yea, for some reason I barely ever get revived in this game.

I think ALOT of it has to do with the fact that its not very easy to look around you and see which friendly soldiers are down.
