    well that filled up fast.

    Getting into it is going to be a pain.

    Tempus, is it hosted in the same place that the BF2 PoE server is hosted? I get exceptionally good pings and response from that server, but the TG titan demo server was laggier and had higher ping for me, it was obviously in a different data center.

    dang, that's what I was afraid of. Is it at all realistic to hope for a ranked server with SM slots, or is it simply a non-starter?

    Our ranked server worked great, I just played on it during my lunch hour.

    I hope we will be allowed by EA to kick for SMs because otherwise its going to be a pain to get in for TG people.

    I did some Squad leading today and the new point system is so much better on getting player the incentive to play in a squad. I know you should not need to give points and unlocks for doing things but it actually helps gameplay which is what we want anyway. And the ranked server will give us the possibility to have have an active server all day, no more waiting for 7 a clock to play.

    We all need to step up and create Learn TG squads to get people used to how we play. This is going to recruit a lot of new players to the TG fold just like POE did. I am again looking forward to great evening battles with fellow TG players.

    Let me get home from work and have a bit of time to actually dive into the config a little bit. I didn't announce the server yet because I've not tested it nor even really done much of any configuration.

    It's not likely there will be reserved slots, as add-ons like that are against EA's TOS for ranked servers.

    I do not know where the datacenter is. This was the old SRV 3 demo box.

    Do not count on reserved slots on a ranked server. We are not allowed to play with the scripts. I can't say for sure what the future will bring however.. In the meantime, expect a well-admined server with lots of friendly faces on it (when you can get on).

    I understand that the auto-kick script can't be used on a ranked server....but can admins manually kick people from a ranked server like we used to do in BF2 or do admins not even have the right to kick people from a ranked server?

    Ya server is super fun, and that whole worry of no team play on a ranker server thing. I saw tons of team play...it works better than I could have ever imagined.

    Was getting feild upgrades like crazy...ran out of things to choose :P

    only problem I saw was the server was being laggy for some reason. I mean my ping and everyone elses was fine, but there were a lot fo complains of lag. Might have just been that map, hopefully it will clear its self out.

    Maybe that was people not realizing their hardware limitation on the somewhat 'enhanced' BF2 engine and more detailed maps?

    I also noticed the lag and I have no problem on the hardware side. Maybe its something that will go away after it stabilizes

    The lag on the TG server is bad. Latency shows as red on my list and people are dropping off like crazy because of it. It's just not fun playing on the server.
