I think there is a big cost diffrence between unranked and ranked servers,

Ah, yes. I forgot about EA charging a fee to have a ranked server in BF2. I'm sure it's the same with 2142.

IMO 2 ranked servers for now and skip the unranked. We had lots of room (baring the lag issues and crashes which seem to be related to our server sad to say) and I think we can support all the TG guys and gals who want to play for some time to come.
