Back on topic, kind of, I was playing today and had a good round, I finally got the distinguished combat efficiency pin (10 kill streak), I never thought I'd manage to get then while played the beta, it took me long enough to just get the basic one. But I got it, and it actually recorded it

Then some guy came and killed me...

But...does you pin show up in-game when you look at your medals? Because at my new count as of today I am missing 13 medals and pins.

Mine have been good from day one... I think there was once that I had to log out of game and come back in but that was immediate. Even the stats site seems to be good http://2142-stats.com it takes a time for it to load but last I checked all my stats were posting.

Mine are updating fine now. Awards and stuff update immediately, point don't, but they are always there when I next go to play.

I had some troubles earlier last week, but they seem to be semi-fixed at the moment. All of my awards are being counted now, but there are still some issues with promotions. I usually pick my unlocks right after the round is over on the screen where all my points are tallied up including any awards I may have received. Some servers won't let me access the unlocks on this screen, and it will show a full promotion bar with point values that show that I have more than enough points for the promotion. Sometimes the promotion will occur after I play another round or two on a different server, but sometimes the awards don't carry over. The other annoyance that this causes is that when I go to the menu after I don't get credited for the promotion, it will usually show me as having ZERO points as a Recruit which is sometimes reflected in game. EA really needs to fix this because there's nothing more frustrating than getting a sweet 500 point medal only to have EA's servers screw up and watching the medal go down the toilet. :-S

everything seems to be working fine for me now. the one weird thing was some points were there, then when i logged on again, were gone, then were there again after a match...

I only lost points/awards one time, but it still makes me nervous to disconnect from a server when my progress isn't being shown in the game menu, especially when I've earned a silver medal or too. EA does appear to be on top of fixing the problems though and hopefully unlocks will work much more seamlessly in the near future (even though for fifty bucks we should've gotten a better package.)

BF2142tracker.com is actually doing a very good job at stat tracking. So whenever I want to check double check to make sure the stats server is keeping record of my points/awards/unlocks, I just alt-tab out of the game to make sure that my points are being tracked.

Do you gain any points you gathered on a server if you disconnect before a round ends? Or does point submission to EA only occur at the end of a round, so you have to complete a round to gain points?

Submission seems to happen at the end of the round by my observation, even if you do log off.
The server does keep track of your current score count per round though, since you can get promotions notifications mid-game.

All that matters is whatever you did gain while playing, you will get, whether you finish the round or not. That's my concern
