The problem with going prone is that is makes it easier to shoot you in the head, resulting in a quick demise.

Re: 2142 and Titan: I don't get it.
I played some more today (3 hours).
I was on a better server this time and I start to understand the game a littlebit more. It still feels awkward here and there. I look forward to try it with TG players on a TG server.|TG|drjones666

We have a TG server and it was full of TGers tonight. Where were you? And why aren't you on my buddylist yet?!

Just type in the ip address manually the first time and after that just go to the history tab and join the server from there. That's what I do.

Wouldn't it be better if it actually showed up in the server browser?

it does...just make sure you have all the filters right. Also when you play on it once, go into your history tab, and click the "+" symbol. That adds it toy our favorites list which show up right away when you log in below your rank and awards.

Re: 2142 and Titan: I don't get it.
As with all online games, it is only as good as the friends you play the game with. Play with pubbies who are a bunch of lone wolfers..that squad isnt gonna be much fun. Play with 5 other TG'rs following orders and working as a cohesive unit...priceless.

We have a ranked and an unranked server. I have no trouble finding the ranked one in the search of the browser.

I have no problems finding either server in the server browser.

Re: 2142 and Titan: I don't get it.
the ranked server now shows up in my game browser... Dunno why it didn't before.
Been playing yesterday on TG server CONQUEST MODE. Lots of fun I must admit. Felt pretty much like BF2 on steroids.
It's bizarre to see so many Medic Icons on the mini-map though. Maybe it's just because everyone went Infantry and in a few weeks time people will diverse their characters.
The city maps are a lot of fun I must say.
There are still some annoying bugs. Like dying doesn't always look like you're dead... You'll be fighting and then the camera stops moving and you're dead. No special sound, no heartbeat. This is random though. Sometimes it's exactly like it was in BF2. Weird stuff.
Also, the lag on TG server is quite bad when the server is full. And we did experience many disconnects like night. Not to mention the weird waiting bug before each round where you see YOU WERE KILLED and nothing happens for like 2-3 minutes...
CONQUEST is fun in BF2142 with TGers. Looking forward to test TITAN.|TG|drjones666

Re: 2142 and Titan: I don't get it.
The one thing I like that has been added to 2142 over BF2 is the rewards you get from defending. I've played a few games now and have racked up some serious points and have never left the Titan. I spent most of the time manning one of the top guns. You collect some serious points when you drop a transport chopper loaded with people. I've moved up two or three ranks and gained four unlocks in a little over an hours play. Not counting the badges and pins I collected. But, the Battlefield series of games has always been quick with the rewards at first.
