Burst control!!
Come on all you assault types, back me up. You have got to watch your trigger control if your going to hit anyone with these rifles. And the mags don't last that long. Short controlled bursts are the way to bring down the bad guys, and it takes even more with the new heavy armor.

Re: Burst control!!
Not really tried it with BF2142 yet (cue daily remark about the damned mailman), but is single-fire not so effective? I hardly ever use auto in BF2 any more - I find I get many more kills and use far less ammo if I use single shot.

Re: Burst control!!
I heard single shot mode is very effective. Can't say though as I go support, and firing for longer makes you more accurate.

Re: Burst control!!
Dunno I prefer 2 shot bursts at range...because the first shot might miss due to random deviation, but then the second usually hits. Really depends on the situation.
Actually I am really loving the new grenade launcer, that thing is crazy awesome.

Re: Burst control!!
I had a lot of success with single shot mode last night. I will stick to it for awhile.

Re: Burst control!!
I've found single shot better for putting more shots on target quickly at longer range and of course automatic for close up

Re: Burst control!!
single shot is much more effective. You really only want to burst if you're right on top of the guy in shotgun range.

Re: Burst control!!
With the Medic upgrade light SMG, single shots do very little damage and it has little enough recoil that you can hold it on a target with a little difficulty.
It's extended my full auto range, but for long distance, it's still single fire. The Dirty

Re: Burst control!!
The Recon Lambert carbine has almost zero deviation even in full auto, so that is the only gun where I can go nut with. Too bad, I can only take it from dead guys. Also double tapping on the Heavy assault rifle is deadly at medium range.

Re: Burst control!!
Please for the love of god use burst control. If you stand behind me and continualy wing me with bullets because you're using full auto instead of controlled bursts I will return fire if necessary.
