SL Drones

ok I know this has been talked about a bit before, but was wondering SL opinions on them now that we got a bit into game. Of course the big downfall
of these "please shoot me drones", is that well, people like you shoot you when you have them out. Also you can not carry a beacon, but this does not mean you can not have a beacon out! You can deploy a beacon, change your customization to a drone, and the beacon stays out.

- I have tried recon drone, and it is amazing. See guys around corners, and hiding behind cover. Just use my rockets to take them out, with out ever actually seeing them. PLus lights up all enemies for your squadmates.
So drone is super useful for defending, and simi useful for attacking. I usually tend to play very defensivly when I have it out. So stay behind cover, while the squad members push ahead and use it's benefits.

-Have not used the attack drone, and I would think it could be useful. But not so sure it would be more useful than a recon drone. Anyone have some good use with this thing?

I haven't been able to use the attack drone yet, but I agree the recon drone is really nice. However you have to give up your spawn beacon, so I don't bother using this unless I plan to defend a flag for a while, or the map is very small (Belgrade). I take far too many risks to serve as an 'away' spawn point. You could probably use the drones safely on attack in Titan mode too, since Titan mode gives you the ability to spawn inside vehicles.

I'm curious- if you have a beacon down and respawn with a drone, do you get to keep both?

Recon for defense, and the bacon drone for attack <oink oink>.

Yes, you can spawn in on your bacon with a recon drone and use it. But you are fubar if the bacon gets destroyed. Then noone can spawn on you, and you can't put another bacon down.

Oops, I misread that. I thought you were saying you can still spawn on the SL.

the attack drone dont always attack an its angering

but i still use it cos it has the potential of saveing your ass when the time is right
