Battlefield 2142 Ranked Server Woes

In an effort to resolve the issues reported with the current Battlefield 2142 Ranked server, the admin team and I have been evaluating potential new server hosts.

This morning, I placed an order with WolfServers for a new dedicated Battlefield 2142 Ranked Server. The new server is more than capable of running in either 64 player Conquest mode or 48 player Titan mode. Before placing the order, I consulted with GiJoe over at WolfServers to verify that our configuration would be adequate for what we need.

While I didn't necessarily want to resort to taking this step, I feel that it is important for Tactical Gamer to have a stable and lag-free server during the early weeks of the Battlefield 2142 launch period. However; the situation we're in now and the current state of the 2142 Ranked server is not going to preserve the image that Tactical Gamer presents in terms of quality gameplay and a lag-free environment.

When the server has completed the provisioning process, It will be configured as a 48 player Titan server. I feel this will be the best test of the hardware and provider as 48 player Titan servers are more intensive than 64 player Conquest.

The new server will be online before the weekend, and potentially could come online today. I will post updates as they become available.

I also would like to extend my thanks to Lord Jebez and the crew at Bound & Determined for sponsoring the server we've had since the release. It's not their fault that the server was laggy, and I appreciate the time, effort and generosity displayed by B&D in sponsoring this server in the first place. They are all stand-up folks and deserve our thanks for trying.

yes, much thanx to lord and to you Apo. I know it can be fustrating when you put money out and dont get what you expect. Hopefully this will resolve our issues and we'll get back to TG goodness once again. Mucho reppage.

We at B&D are very disappointed with Hypernia. Regardless, We will continue to play on the TG servers. I hope to see all of you in the new server soon.
