Re: Footing The Bill

I don't think that the intention is to make "normal" SM's feel somehow inferior to the "platinum" SM's, or non-SM's for that matter. We certainly don't want kids going hungry or banks knocking on doors!

The people are what make TG a great place to play, so just by continuing to play and support the TG-way you are helping to keep the doors open, because, without players, TG wouldn't be here and there would be nothing to support!

That said, we are plunking down a large chunk of cash on this new server and every little bit helps out

Re: Footing The Bill

Just signed up for the Supporting membership.

What can I say, this alone will cover all the thread spam I am throwing down.

Although not playing any games, this place has to be around come spring time when Armed Assault comes out.

Enjoy the BF2142 server guys.

Have a good'n.

Re: Footing The Bill

I figure I've been freeloading off you guys for long enough - just signed up for a Platinum Account myself.

It's worth it just to (hopefully!) never see the "You have beek kicked to make room for a supporting member" message again!

Keep up the good work TG. It's an awesome place to play.

Re: Footing The Bill

Just renewed my yearly subscription. The past year with BF2 at TG was worth every penny. Hope this contribution helps support the server.
My only request: please inform us throughout the next months if TG faces $ difficulties in maintening the top quality servers. Hopefully we can all help at the best of our capabilities.

Worth mentioning: I couldn't stand 2142... until I finally got to play with TG players. I should have known. ;-)

Cheers!

Re: Footing The Bill

It was the same with BF2, DrJ0nes. The game was so-so when I was playing the demo before it was released (first time playing BF series), and I wasn't going to buy it. But then I ran across TG while playing the demo and so I pre-ordered the game

In fact, without TG, I think BF2 is worse than 2142. At least 2142 rewards teamwork and defense so you get more pubbies doing it.

Yes BF2 is just a mess without TG.

Atleast Bf2142 tries to promote teamwork. To get any of these game to shine we need a full TG server with TG people.

Re: Footing The Bill

I may be cancelling my WoW membership until the expansion so I will strongly consider supporting.

LoL... well not as fanatical as I am sure many of TG/WoW people would like.. since I have been spending every night for past week in BF2/BF2142 but I am still fanatical to AH gold farming (buy low, sell high) since the game is highly dependent to resources. That is part of what makes me a "Tactical Gamer"

Re: Footing The Bill

Have four months to run of my current annual subscription.

Have asked Apo via PM what the difference between my current subscription and the Platinum membership would be.

Will then pay the extra via Paypal as a donation, rather than Admin mess about refunding money.

Come Feb will then renew as Platinum. Sorted.

Coming here, and using the facilities, is worth every penny. S! To all the staff - Thanks.

Re: Footing The Bill

How about a yearly membership equivalent to the platimum monthly membership? I know I could just give a little more when my yearly is up for renewal, but the easier it is the more likely I am to do it.

Re: Footing The Bill

Why not just setup as monthly platinum, then? PayPal automatically deducts your account/CC every month, so you don't have to actively do anything except keep PayPal's account information up to date, if you change it.

You could pay your regular renewal, then make an additional donation via paypal to have the same effect, I guess.

Re: Footing The Bill

Of course the extra $10/month means 2 less trips to Starbucks for me.

Oh, what the hell, I'm in...

Cheers.
