    Holy Moly..! Birdie is back with BF2142..!

    well..after months of problems with the cable company..i think i will finally be able to get back into some gaming, and since i was given 2142, thought i would load it up this weekend and try to play..

    now..who is playing, what the hell do i need to know, and where is the server..?

    All you need to know is that I'll be standing over your body

    Currently we have no server. We're pub hopping. Best to get on teamspeak to find out where we are. BF2142 also has a buddy list so you can add some TGers and see where they are playing.

    We're currently in the process of having a host set up and should have our server by the weekend.

    You should also know that the game is currently pretty server laggy, especially on titan mode. So don't scream at your computer for being so weak.

    Or if you don't want to get on TS, just get your buddy list set up (sticky at the top of this forum) and look for TGers in-game with that.

    ok..the new box is up and going..nothing istalled but vid driers for the cheezy 7600gs..all i can afford for now..but at least i got a "real" game box..!

    so 2142 is sucking? maybe i should hop on the old box and fire off bf2..?

    been so long since i played, i am not sure i even rememebr the keys..!!

    pathetic huh? hahhaah

    will try to get on after while..got some minor issues with this SLI crap..

    bf2142 is pretty far from sucking. its actually very very fun. Not sure of all the game mechanics but its a heck of a lot more fun than PoE2(just my opinion).

    TG seems pretty split, you have the Vanillas, the TacModers, the POE2ers, and now the BF2142ers. Some only play one, some play more than one (but grumble about the others not being their favorite), and some just want to play with the TG crowd and aren't particular what game it is.

    BF2142 shares the squad and CO enhancements of bf2, but tends to be more frenetic and deadly. The unlocks are pretty interested at this stage as each new unlock allows you to play a bit differently then you did before. I will say Dice got the point system down pretty well as a TG squad playing in a teamwork driven system will far outstrip the pubby squads garnering more points/ranks/unlocks faster.

    True. It used to be pubbie loaners would always be at the top of the score...but now it's commonly people that are in a squad and working together. That shows you the team bonus points work nicely

    i cannot get it to work..i have no idea what to try next..

    i am about to start loading PoE and BF2 on this box and start updating..

    what all do i need..?

    oh hell..i forgot about TS as well..!!

    the updating will never end it seems!!!
