Both seemed fine to me, except the usual Titan lag.
LOL, playing with yourself doesn't count!

Re: Battlefield 2142 Server Evaluation

Miami Server:

Server was full 64/64 and the lag was really bad. My ping was around 90, but people were warping around like mad.I heard other people complaining about warping around too.

Dallas Server:

Server was full 48/48 and there was only lag when the titans move. Of course every server I've played on there was lag when they are going.
So this server seems the better of two.

Wolf server? 64.34.161.22

No lag what so ever with the server being full 64/64 on conquest. I think this is probably the best out of all of them if you want my opinion.

Excellent. I played a few rounds on the Wolf server tonight with no issues at all. I was unable to get any time in on Dallas, but it looked good from this end.

Re: Battlefield 2142 Server Evaluation

Let me correct you. My server was located in MIAMI. The IP address was 204.13.5.8. Your MIAMI server is 204.13.5.something.

Also, let me correct you on something else. The lag was on HYPERNIA's server. Not B&D. Neither myself or my clan had a damn thing to do with the lag. The issue was entirely Hypernia's. I sent many support request to have the issue looked at. The only tech at Hypernia that gave me more than a worthless, flippent comment was a gentleman with the name Jelle. The best the other tech would tell me was to reduce the number of players on the server. After that, nothing. Hypernia's customer support sucked backside hard. Charlie is a good man. He was always respectful. But, he's a sales agent as far as I know. I would suggest to him that he start looking for a new job as Hypernia is getting a very sorry reputation in other forums.

My suggestion to TG is to stick with Wolfservers. IMHO

I don't think anyone was blaming you for it...

Re: Battlefield 2142 Server Evaluation

Miami was unplayable. Exact same issue that plagued the B&D server. That datacenter apparently sucks.

I played on Dallas without incident - can't tell you if the server was full though.

I have had no problems so far at all with the virginia server.

Re: Battlefield 2142 Server Evaluation

Something else to note: The Miami server is the only one currently deserted. The other two servers are packed. I was on the Dallas server and everything was smooth.

Re: Battlefield 2142 Server Evaluation

Played a few rounds last night (27-10) on 64.34.161.22. Server was full, no lag whatsoever.

Re: Battlefield 2142 Server Evaluation

Something odd happened with the Dallas server tonight at around 8:30 EST. It seemed like the server crashed two rounds in a row. There were people on as soon as I got back on and it was running the same map. The server was full the first time before the crash. Then the second time it was about 30/48. The player count dropped to 10/48 after all the disconnects.

Re: Battlefield 2142 Server Evaluation

I played on Dallas and Virginia quite a bit today. Neither had any lag to speak of, and both crashed about the same amount of times.

Re: Battlefield 2142 Server Evaluation

Virginia server started lagging tonight at around 8-8:30 ET. Pings were in 30s but I was starting to get occasional rubber-banding which prevented me from killing the enemy Nothing drastic to utterly kill gameplay. Maybe server code is bad at managing resources? It seemed to occur after playing for a while without the server crashing.

Did anyone else have these same issues on Virginia last night? Or was it isolated to just Telorn?

Re: Battlefield 2142 Server Evaluation

I've also seen virginia cough. It's not as bad as the other servers, but it does happen at max capacity.

I think BF2142 just requires so much data that, unless you have a ridiculously overpowered setup, it's going to choke under full load.

Re: Battlefield 2142 Server Evaluation

I played mostly on Tactical Gamer Server B, and had no issue with lag. Not sure which one this is.
