Did you watch the making of video?

Just wondering, noone said anything about it. I got the email like a week and a half ago and downloaded it. I guess I got it from using the EA downloader.

Production values were good. Those gents at DICE don't seem like the most social people in the world though.

And the QA team, OH GOD the QA team. They look like alternates for the goonies.

Hmm... I didn't get any e-mail, but I might have deleted it with the 100's of spam I get each day. Is it available on the downloader?

Actually, I just went into the downloader and it's revamped. Made me download the new version. Anyway, don't see it on there.

I think it's the "exclusive" content for people that preordered on EA downloader. I use quotes because EA didn't protect the download link and it was being passed around IRC when they released it. I downloaded it, forgot about it, deleted it w/o watching. Heh.

Ya, I did the EA downloader, but got no e-mail. Not like I really care. Like everyone has noticed, it's available to everyone eventually anyway.

Damn, I bought the Oblivion special edition that had the 'making of' video. What a waste that was.

I think this is supposed to be exclusive content for people that bought the preorder.. I'm not so sure that TG should be hosting / helping distribute it...? I think that people that are entitled to the content should be able to download it here.

EA doesn't code the freaking games, and either way, that's like saying it's okay not to pay taxes because you didn't vote for the whoever's president or something.

Secondly, EA may not directly code the game, but it is EA that approves the game to be released and it is EA that tells DICE they better have the game ready by "X" date, which can cause DICE to cut more corners than they normally would.

Saying EA doesnt code the game is like saying NBC doesnt make TV shows or KFC doesnt cook the chicken. EA is a company of people, not just some CEO in an executive office somewhere.

And the reason you dont pay taxes is because it's not in the Constitution, not who you voted for.

better put more faces just in case someone takes it too seriously and reports me to the IRS

Thanks for the link Perry. I was able to login and download the video fine. Still no e-mail, though.

Actually, I found the production values quite low. It looks like they just gathered people up during the final stages of the build during off hours and asked them to say some stuff. The people were stumbling and trying to figure out what to say,the whole way thru. There was no real insight into the decision making process or game designing process. I think the extent of the production values is that they had a blue screen.

It would be interesting to see exactly what ideas were brought up, then thrown out over testing or design. Maybe initial sketches; that kind of thing.
