Re: Memorable Moments
Just had a fun moment that I'm sure I'll tell my grandkids about

Camp Gibraltar as the PAC (I think? The side that attacks..), towards the start of the round. We had just taken that first flag, Harbor, so I went circling back around towards the north to get any enemy stragglers along the north fence line. Right there in front of me, laying behind some boxes that would have provided cover against our attack, sat an entire enemy squad. Knowing that I would be killed before I could take em out with my gun, I jumped in to the middle of them and pulled out the knife.
I'm not so sure what happened next, but in the orgy of death I managed to get my knife pin. I know an enemy medic revived at least one of my victims because the pin requires 7 kills, and I'm very surprised I didn't get shock paddled in the mayhem. At the end of it all, I stood up to walk away and survey the damage when I was teamkilled

Re: Memorable Moments
Okay, this has been a little late but Jep really has been bugging me to post this.
We're on Suez Canal defending the rear flag. We've got the usual feral players attacking but the real threat is a shockingly well organized clan that's running a squad using light vehicles to blast around the flanks and hit us from behind.
I was waiting for the tank to respawn while the rest of the squad killed a human wave trying to cross the bridge when I noticed that the enemy squad had snuck up on the flag. There was no time to wait for the tank and if they captured the flag that human wave would start spawning here. I needed to buy a little time for the rest of the squad.
I rushed them with all my Engie Fury. Throwing grenades and SMG blazing I was able to make it right into the middle of their squad. I missed every shot and immidietly ran out of ammunition without killing a single one of them. So I switched to my combat knife, Manslasher, and prepared to give one of their lives to the Sun God. I missed that too. Then they started shooting back and I realized that flag has less cover then a football field. Time to improvise. Or Panic. I chose to panic. So I just ran circles around them madly swinging my knife until they all TK'd each other. Then I shanked the last one as he reloaded.

Re: Memorable Moments
Roflmao that's preety good Arf

I recently had a game where I spawned around a flag just as someone was parachuting from above. They landed on my head and killed me .2s after I spawned.
Another one: A gunship is flying above a flag we are trying to take, I shoot it down with a well placed (read lucky) Pilum round, only to have the wreck fall down and kill my squad mate. I couldn't stop laughing

Re: Memorable Moments
I played the beta of Dark Messiah Might and Magic and they did something I really appreciated. You have a 5 second invulnerability when you spawn. You lose this invulnerability the moment you attack, however.
I wonder if BF would be nicer if we all had a 5 second pause after spawning to get our bearings before being killed.Telorn

Re: Memorable Moments
I don't know why, but the funniest part of that post is the term 'Engie Fury'.

Re: Memorable Moments
So, it was you. I keep trying to remember who really have the patient to kill someone five times in row in Berlin or Belgrad (i'm not sure, but has to be one of those two). It was more like 7 times, since I was that medic. I got 3 medic pins on that level alone, thanks load man.

Re: Memorable Moments
Playing in a pubbie server tonight, Tunis Harbour. We were European Union, and we (my surprisingly teamwork-willing squad) managed to grab the flag closest to the PAC base. Mayhem ensued. Every single PAC player decided to attack here, and most of the EU guys decided to defend. I was playing doctor somewhere in the middle of the grenades and smoke, sprinting from body to body, reviving as I went. I got four emergency revive pins, as well as the bronze medic badge. I must have revived at least 30 times. It was crazy to say the least. My team managed to pull out with a score of 5-0. And with my kill to death ratio of 1:17, I still came out with my gold star with a teamwork score of 54. Just goes to show... teamwork FTW!

Re: Memorable Moments
Oooh, I had a round like that just tonight. Well, not a 'round,' since I joined in the last couple of minutes, into Camp Gibraltar. Ran around like mad reviving everybody I could find. Round ended shortly after and I had 9 revives and we won by 7 tickets. One person can make a difference.

Re: Memorable Moments
Funniest moment for me so far was as sniper a guy found me and tried to knife me from behind but it didn't do anything and I heard it so I got up and started jumping and took my knife out.. so there we were jumping in circles around each other trying to knife one another, then I realized I had left an active AP mine up on the stairs not too far away.. started jumping away but still looking like I was trying to knife him and he of course followed (jumping along), jumped up the stairs and finally over my mine and then once I was couple feet away from it I just stopped and stood there and saw him hop, hop, hop and BANG ..dead.
It was pretty funny to see the guy get splattered from my mine while he was trying to jump at me with a knife.

Re: Memorable Moments
I hearby propose that we use the term 'pulling an arf' if facing ridiculous unsurmountable odds, and someohow come out a hero.
