The only time i have a problem with the TG servers is around 2am when most people are off, we had a bunch of theifing and camping the non capable base, we have screenshots though! somewhere ;/

Because some ppl are using the glitches in BF2142. I seen scores allot higher then 1300 points in a round. Just remember , that if you see such a score , that that person is using glitches and breakes the rules.

Re: Interest in unranked play..?

I thought some badges like silver and gold would produce 500 - 1000 points each making a 1300 point game at least feasible through legitatement means.

I regularly get 100 point games usually a combination of multiple awards of the Emergency Rescue, 5 and 10 kill streak pins.

If the player is geting 1300 game after game then yes they are exploiting, but to say you can only get 1300 a game illegally may not be true.

The game distinguishes between Career Points and Score. Score is what you get for things in game, like repair points, points for kills, for flag captures, etc... Career Points is your Score + the bonus points you get for pins, badges and ribbons. You only see career points at the end of the round and in BFHQ. All other numbers are Score. Anybody with thousands of points on the leaderboard has it because they're stat padding, not because they just were awarded a couple of gold badges.

And yeah, it's more than possible to get 1300 career points in a round. Gold badges are worth a thousand points each, and there are three ribbons which will give you 2000.

I dont include the badges , ribbons etc in the 1300 score . I am just talking about the scoreboard that you see at the end of every round. Badges etc are not included in that number. So i dont think annyone can make 1300 points of more in one round without using the glitches.
Its like Jepzilla posted.

Re: Interest in unranked play..?

Personally, I have no interest in unranked play.

I don't see why we cannot fill up the ranked server with only TG players.
If it was filled with TG players only, then we'd get the same gameplay with ranked or unranked server.

I am 100% for teamplay. I encourage it everytime I play. When I play ranked or unranked, it doesn't change the way I play. I don't see why it would change any TGer's gameplay either. If it is the pubbies we are affraid of for reducing teamplay. then let's push more on the password nights on ranked. Heck, I'd even re-enforce the rules of the server by re-designing the intro TG banner during load time to incorporate the server rules to drill it into pubbies' heads.

I feel playing unranked is not the solution to better gameplay.

My two cents.
Cheers!

Re: Interest in unranked play..?

Is there a way to temporarily 'hide' the ranked server from the EA server list? This way, people could only connect if they know the IP of the server, which in effect would be like a password.

Sure, it would be a good idea to work out some tactics and plans.

Then let's call one night of the week TG night where everyone tries to gather together. What's the difference between callnig it on ranked or unranked? It's still a call for one specific night.
